- The former Barnes & Noble bookstore at 6800 Orchard Lake Road in West Bloomfield Township goes to online auction next week. According to the auction listing, the building is about 42,600 square feet on a 4-acre property with about 150 surface parking spaces. The store, built in 1976, closed in January, according to the listing for the auction that begins Monday. The minimum bid is $950,000, or about $22.29 per square foot. The building last sold in December 2005 for $11.135 million, or $261.
