If you have been to CRAFTED you certainly know the “Big Baby”. The sculpture was memorable one but for now we must bid adieu. The 10′ tall, toy-filled baby, formally titled, “Receptable!” is all grown up and moving to away to college, (the University of North Carolina at Charlotte to be exact)! The talented artist Joyce Dallal is presenting the piece to the University for an exhibit that is opening at the end of March. The piece was more than just a giant baby sculpture. It was filled with non-recyclable toys, a stark reminder of how much stuff ends up in landfills year after year. We will certainly miss the giant baby exhibit, and hope you will, too!
