A year ago I posted news that a Self-portrait wearing a White Feathered Bonnet had been re-attributed to Rembrandt (CLICK). The National Trust is cock-a-hoop. After eight months of cleaning and scientific investigation at the Hamilton Kerr Institute in Cambridge, the painting has been returned to Buckland Abbey as undeniably genuine (CLICK). The 29-year-old Rembrandt was a dandy.
