The 6’1, 175lb standout from Gilmer, Texas will be enrolling early at Oklahoma State.
Family, friends and teammates attended a ceremony for standout wide receiver, LaMarcus Morton, as he signed his financial aid agreement to attend Oklahoma State University.

According to East Texas Sports Network, Morton could be moving to his new home in Stillwater as early as Tuesday.
“It’s exciting and bittersweet,” Morton said during a signing day ceremony Gilmer High School threw in his honor. “Also nervous, I’ll be honest. I’ll be a freshman on campus and won’t know anyone. But I’ve talked to some people who have said I’ll be OK. We’ll just go up there and see what it does for me.”

It will be good to have Morton on campus early, as it is somewhat unclear on what position he will be playing at the next level. Although he was a dominant receiver at Gilmer High School, he also lined up in the defensive backfield for the Buckeyes. He could be in play at safety or cornerback for the Cowboys. It’s hard to speculate on what position he will end up at, but I think his early enrollment will help him and the coaches to decide where Morton fits best.
