KickOff Canada is a registered non-profit organization that hosts soccer events throughout our city raising money for various charities. It was started by 5 individuals that have witnessed the impact of soccer in impoverished communities around the world. They have seen the power soccer has and KickOff’s aim is to use the sport as their platform to assist charities and communities that are in need of assistance and bring awareness to the amazing work they are doing.

Their first and inaugural event is the KickOff World Cup happening on June 7th at the legendary Andy Livingstone Field in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Judging from the name, it is exactly what you think it is. KickOff Canada is having a tournament that replicates the FIFA World Cup on June 12th of this year. 16 teams from all over the Lower Mainland are going to compete in a 7-a-side competition for the bragging rights to see which country dominates the soccer scene here as well as support three wonderful charities, Covenant House Vancouver, Blind Beginnings and One World Futbol. The response KickOff Canada received from the community is extraordinary and even got featured by influential media outlets such as Vancity Buzz.

There are only a handful of teams left that can register so we suggest that you sign up before it’s too late. Their early bird team registration sold out in less than 3 weeks due to the high demand. Regular priced team registration is $280 and you can make your payment via credit card or cash. More information regarding the registration can be found here.

The 5 individuals behind KickOff Canada have done a remarkable job and we suggest you read up on their story. We also recommend you follow them on Facebook and Twitter so you can keep up with their journey and see what event they host next. We hear, it’s something genius and it will definitely cause a buzz!
