Salt Lake County:
Days of ’47 KUTV Pops Concert - July 12 & 13 at Abravanel Hall at 7:30 pm. Guest artists include Jenny Oaks Baker and George Dyer. Tickets are free, however you must pick tickets up in advance at KUTV’s studio or you may be able to get them at the event. Limit 6 tickets per request.
MX Pioneer Extravaganza – July 19 enjoy an MX show and amazing fireworks. Cost is $12.
Pioneer Day Concert – July 19 & 20 at 8pm at the LDS Conference Center – Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra will perform. Tickets are free, but are required, those interested may register on the Internet at www.lds.org/events for the opportunity to receive tickets. Patrons are invited to stand by for last-minute seating on the evenings of July 19 and 20, 2013. The standby line will form at the North Gate on Temple Square at 6 p.m.
REAL Salt Lake – July 20 will take on Sporting KC and include Pioneer Day fireworks. Go here for ticket info.
First Encampment Hike – July 20 at 7am at Donner Park (2770 E 990 S). During this family-oriented event, you can walk in the footsteps of the 1847 pioneers in a festive and commemorative hike that follows Emigration Creek through beautiful Salt Lake City neighborhoods.
Youth Parade – July 20 at 10am, route starts at 600 E and 500 S, runs west on 500 S to 200 E and ends at the City and County Building.
Family Festival – July 20 at 10am-2pm following the Youth Parade at Washington Square (200 E 450 S). This is a free event with inflatable slides, games, bouncers, rides, not to mention the Wild West Area where they can meet cowboys and clowns from the Rodeo.
Days of’ 47 Float Preview Party – July 22 & 23 at the South Towne Expo Center in Sandy. Preview many of the Parade floats and join the excitement as Parade day nears.
Sunrise Service – July 24 at 7am in the Tabernacle on Temple Square. The program features the Tabernacle organist and several hundred voices in combined choirs from around the valley. A keynote speaker will deliver an inspirational message. Free admission and no tickets required.
Deseret News Marathon – July 24 - The Marathon, Half Marathon and 10k routes all join the Days of 47 Parade route as they turn onto 200 East. Once runners join the parade route they will be greeted by over 100,000 cheering Utahns.
Cottonwood Heights Butlerville Days – July 24 the event starts with a parade at 3pm, bands, floats, rides, activities, and fireworks.
Days of ’47 Parade – July 24 at 9am. Route starts at South Temple and State Street running to 200 East, turns south to 900 South, then turns east to Liberty Park.
Days of 47 Rodeo – July 19-24; July 24 will be the finals night at the Rodeo. Ticket prices start at $14 not including convenience fees. Go here for details on discount tickets.
Youth Pioneer Pageant - July 22, 23, & 24 at West Jordan Arena: A firework spectacular and theatrical representation of the joys and tribulations experienced by the pioneers on their trek west. Tickets are $8-15.
Red Butte Garden – Free admission on July 24 from 9am-5pm
This Is The Place – July 24 celebrates Pioneer Days. Admission price range from $7-10.
Salt Lake Bees Game – July 24 at 7pm. The Bees will be taking on Fresno Grizzlies. Fireworks to follow the game. Go here for ticket ordering information.
Fireworks at Liberty Park – July 24 fireworks at 10pm. There will also be art, craft and food vendors ad part of the Native American Celebration.
Davis County:
Bountiful Handcart Days – July 23 & 24 at Bountiful City Park (400 N 200 W). There will be games, food, rides, entertainment and fireworks.
Layton – “Taste of the Town” event. They have lined up 24 participating restaurants within the city. Tickets can be purchased at the Layton Hills Mall $1 each or $10 for 12 tickets. Food items will all be 4 tickets or less. Like them on Facebook before July 17 and be entered to win 25 Taste of the Town Tickets.
Layton – July 24 at 8pm (gates open at 7pm) Layton City Recreation Department presents the annual “Riders in the Sky” Pioneer Day Concert at the Ed Kenly Amphitheater. Seats fill up fast and are first come first serve.
Weber County:
Ogden Pioneer Days – July 5-24 there will be a parade at 9am along with events, entertainment, rodeo and fireworks.
Utah Valley:
Mapleton - July 24 enjoy free events from a parade, entertainment and fireworks.
Provo Pioneer Day Extravaganza – July 24 at North Park (500 N 500 W) there will games, food, crafts, entertainment, car show, and more.
Spanish Fork – July 12-27 – a 10K race along with a grand parade, entertainment, carnival, rodeo, fireworks and more.
Box Elder:
Tremonton – July 19 – 24 there will be a movie in the park, breakfast, food, rides, fireworks and more.
Sanpete County:
Fairview – July 24 will hold a parade, car show, old fashioned games, demolition derby and more.
Spring City – July 24 will have a parade, carnival, games, free concert, movie in the park and more.
Mayfield – July 24 will hold a parade, games, food and entertainment at the City Park.
Sterling – July 24 there will be breakfast, parade, games, dutch oven cook off, fireworks and more.
Cache County:
Logan - July 24 starts with a pancake breakfast along with various tournaments, candy cannon, bingo, parade, fireworks and more.
North Logan – July 24 includes a parade, games, food, entertainment, movie in the park, fireworks and more.
American West Heritage Center – July 24 there will be pioneer games and living history interpreters. Cost is $4-6.
Iron County:
Cedar City – July 24 there will be a parade, booths and games for the kids.
Washington County:
Hurricane – July 24 includes a parade, breakfast, game & food.
Ivins City Pioneer Day Celebration in Ivins City Park. Parade at 9 am. Vendors and Entertainment in The Park -10:00 a.m. (or when the parade is over) until 1:00 p.m.
Washington City – July 24 there will be a flag ceremony, breakfast, parade, game and booths, and fireworks at dusk.
