Salt Lake City Events:

Adventure + Gear Expo will be held this Friday and Saturday, April 17th-18th at the South Towne Expo Center in Sandy, UT. Plus, we have an exclusive discount code, go here for details>>

Science Unwrapped (Logan) – Friday, April 17 at 7 pm at Utah State Taggart Student Center. This free event welcomes biologist Bonnie Baxter, director of the Great Salt Lake Institute and includes refreshments and hands-on learning activities.

Free Screening of Last Days in Vietnam – Friday, April 17 at 7 pm at Rose Wagner.

Alta Earth Day – Friday, April 17 starting at 9 am at Cottonwood Heights Park.  The day’s events will feature: Eco-Friendly Vendors, Naturalist Tours, Birding in Alta, Ski Gear, Recycle Drop-Off, Après Earth Day & Film. Admission is free.

Free Concert (West Jordan) – Friday, April 17 at the Viridian Center. The Romance Concert tells the story of four singers, unknown to one another, coming to rehearse, for the first time, the “Libiamo” quartet from Verdi’s La Traviata.

Kanab Earth Day – Friday, April 17 from 12-6 pm at Kane County Visitor Center. There will be food, entertainment and displays, games and prizes for the whole family to enjoy. Admission is Free.

FREE National Park Entrance Days - for April 18-19, Opening Weekend of National Park Week.

Ogden Nature Center Earth Day – Saturday, April 18 from 11:30 am – 4 pm. There will be fun and engaging activities, live performances, green gurus, environmental experts, arts, crafts, fresh food and more. Admission is just $2 per person.

Zion Earth Day (Springdale) – Saturday, April 18 with live solar powdered music will be accompanied by art and food vendors, activities and demonstrations about, alternative energy, native plants, solar ovens, environmental art and sustainable products. Kids can participate in games and a reading of Dr. Suess’ “The Lorax”. Admission is free.

North Salt Lake Kite Festival - Saturday, April 18 at 2pm at Legacy Park (1140 W. 1100 N.). Free kites for the first 200 children!! There will be free kite making and decorating as well as a kite flying contest and demonstration.

Dixie Power Kite Festival – Saturday, April 18 with kite flying, concessions and entertainment. Admission is free.

Provo Spring Festival – Saturday, April 18 at 4 pm at Recreation Center (320 W 500 N). This event will feature a concert with favorite local musicians, live animals, food trucks, local artists, outdoor yoga, visits from local mascots, prizes, and adventure activities for children and adults alike.

University Mall New Gap Store Celebration (Orem) – Saturday, April 18 from 1-5 pm with carnival fun, face painting, balloon animals and treats.

Great Cloth Diaper Change International World Record (West Jordan) – Saturday, April 18 at 10 am at the Viridian Center. Join with Moms and Dads around the world to break a cloth diaper changing world record. There will be vendors, fun and even a little craziness.

Project Oxygen – Saturday, April 18 at 9 am at Wheeler Farm. Registration and light breakfast begins at 9:00am followed by yoga before planting begins. After our hard work a delicious lunch will be provided by Mark Miller Subaru’s own WRX and STI Cafe! This is a Free even, however, registration is required.

Ogden Restaurant Week – April 10-19: Sixteen of Ogden’s best restaurants are offering a fixed 2-course lunch for $8 and 3-course dinner for $15. Go here for more info.

Snowbird Winter Family Flicks – Free family flicks every Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday evening at The Clifff Lodge thru April 12.

Canyons Resort Free Spring Concert Series – The free après concerts happen every Saturday and select Fridays at 3pm on the Resort Village stage. The eleven concerts will groove the village stage, showcasing rock, blues, reggae and global sounds.

The Utah Museum of Fine Arts offers FREE admission every 3rd Saturday of the month.

Discovery Gateway Museum – Get $6 admission every Sunday – no coupon needed.

MOA Family Workshops (Provo) – On any one Saturday of their choice families can take a guided tour of a current exhibition and create a fun, hands-on art project, free of charge.

The Ultimate Outdoor Recreation Expo scheduled for April 24-25 in Heber City. Living Social is offering discount tickets 50% off.Salty Dinner Theater’s “Young Sherlock” (multiple locations) – $18 (reg. $30)  for two tickets. Shows run April 21–May 15. Dinner not included.
