Salt Lake City Events:
The LEGO Monuments Roadshow on March 7-22 at Fashion Place Mall. The LEGO Americana Tour is a highly visual, educational and free traveling installation of larger-than-life LEGO models. There will be 10 of America’s most iconic historic monuments throughout the mall made entirely of LEGO bricks.
Snowflake Festival (Alta) March 12-15 at Alta Ski Resort. We have a full line-up from an on hill gnome hunt, local live music, film, dance party, ski with a ranger, competitions and more.
Utah Shakespeare Festival hits the road with an educational outreach program for schools. This year, the highlight of the program is a 75-minute version of Macbeth, including complete costumes, sets, and theatrical lighting. There will be a showing on March 13 in Clearfield, go here for details and additional dates and locations.
Highland Bagpipe Experience – Friday, March 13 from 6:30-8pm at the Gallivan Center. Come experience true Highland bagpipes as the Utah Pipe Band presents a beginning bagpipe lesson, history lesson and a rousing performance. Light refreshments will be provided. Brandon Mull’s Five Kingdoms Free Launch Party (Cottonwood Heights) – Friday, March 13 at 6:30 pm at Cottonwood Heights High school. Features a free comedy show with DC Comedy including special guest authors Richard Paul Evans (Michael Vey), Chad Morris (Cragbridge Hall) and Brandon Sanderson (The Reckoners)!
Spring Chamber Music Festival - Friday, March 13 at 7:30 pm at All Saints Episcopal Church (1710 Foothill Dr.). Admission is Free.
St. Patrick’s Day parade will be held at The Gateway shopping center this Saturday, 3/14. This fun parade will have music with bagpipes along with kilt clad men and more. Parade begins at 10 a.m.
The Leonardo Pi Day Festival – Saturday, March 14 at The Leonardo. General admission is just $3.14 (reg. $7-$9). And from 10:00 AM -3:00 PM, in addition to all The Leonardo’s regular and super cool exhibits and activities, we will feature rational and irrational games of chance, skill and fun, pie-eating contests, community art and more!
Swan Day (Brigham City) – Saturday, March 14 from 10 am – 3 pm at Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge. Includes guided tours, crafts, films and more. Admission is free.
Pruning Fruit Trees (Kaysville) – Saturday, March 14 from 9-12pm at USUBC Home Orchard. We will focus on apples, peaches, grapes and raspberries. Attending this workshop is free. Register online for a chance to win a free set of pruners!
West Valley Symphony – Saturday, March 14 at 7:30 pm at Eisenhower Junior High. Admission is Free.
Snowbird Winter Family Flicks – Free family flicks every Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday evening at The Clifff Lodge thru April 12.
Canyons Resort Free Spring Concert Series – The free après concerts happen every Saturday and select Fridays at 3pm on the Resort Village stage. The eleven concerts will groove the village stage, showcasing rock, blues, reggae and global sounds.
Utah Museum of Contemporary Art – Saturday, March 14 from 2-4pm. Children ages 5-12 and their adult companions are invited to explore UMOCA exhibits and hands-on art activities. Admission is FREE.
