Walt Disney World quick-service restaurants offers great food and fast service. They are generally either cafeteria-style or counter-service venues. Reservations are not required and the quick service restaurants at Disney World Resorts offer a lot of variety. Of course quick service restaurants are also good for people on a budget because these meals will be less expensive than sit down dining at Disney World. Each resort has a quick service restaurant available. At each resort quick service location you will find the usual burger and fries, pizza, etc. but each resort quick service location will have some specialty items that you can only find at that resort. Below are five unique resort quick service dining locations you may want to check out on your next trip.

The Landscape of Flavors at the Art of Animation:It offers food inspired by International and American favorites. The Barbeque Pork Sandwich and Caprese sandwich are amazing. You can order several different Indian inspired meals. There are also a lot of choices for guests with special dietary needs.

The Mara at Animal Kingdom Lodge: The Mara is named for a wildlife preserve in Tanzania. I enjoy eating outside because the landscaping is so lush and beautiful.  It is a great way to experience a little bit of Africa right in Disney World. The African Stew, Falafel Pita, Mara Salad and soups are delicious. Don’t forget the coffee-kahlua zebra domes for dessert!

Everything Pop at the Pop Century Resort: Everything Pop is a bright food court that has a lot to offer.  This food court is a blast from the past with lots of graphic designs. The key attraction here is the variety on the menu, and the resort specific items.  At breakfast the Pop waffle is always a hit.  During the day, themed desserts like the tie dye cheesecake and the King Cupcake (a chocolate cupcake tribute to Elvis filled with banana custard, peanut butter icing, and topped with candied bacon) are both must tries. The food theme is Mexican and Asian inspired.

Captain Cook’s at the Polynesian Resort: Obviously the menu here is Polynesian inspired. For breakfast you can get the famous Tonga Toast (banana stuffed sourdough bread that is battered, deep fried and dusted with sugar. Can you say delicious? For lunch and dinner, you can’t go wrong with the Pork Nachos or Hawaiian Flatbread.  I absolutely love the Pork Nachos and highly recommend them. Captain Cook’s is a popular space for guests to catch a meal even if they aren’t staying here due to the food and that it is on the monorail line for Magic Kingdom. Don’t forget the Dole Whip for desert at Pineapple Lanai.

Sassagoula Float Works at Port Orleans French Quarter: The food court is housed in a large factory-type building that serves as the float works for the Mardi Gras parades.  Large parade float props hang from the ceiling and decorate the walls.  It creates a very festive atmosphere.  The menu continues the French Quarter feeling with New Orleans favorites like gumbo and jambalaya. My favorite by far is the beignets! They even can make out of this world gluten free beignets.

So on your next Disney World vacation take a break and go resort hopping. Plan on having a quick service or two at some of these favorites and let us know what you liked.
