That sounds easy enough right? Just wait. The wings in the Insanity Wing Roulette Challenge are from the top 5 heat indexes. The Insanity Wing is by far the spiciest coming in at 2 million on the Scoville Scale. You and your friends get to try your luck at the roulette. Each taking a turn to spin the arrow and seeing what wing you’re going to eat. The lucky, or unlucky, one will land on the Insanity Wing. “In addition to outstanding food, we like to offer our guests a fun and interactive experience when they visit our restaurants,” says Sam Ballas, CEO of East Coast Wings & Grill. “The Insanity Wing Roulette challenge is one of our favorite ways to engage our loyal customers, and rewarding a lucky guest with free wings for a year is a salute to their bravery.”
I played the Insanity Wing Roulette this past week with my friends. I am not a fan of spicy stuff, so I must be crazy, right? We all took turns and spun the arrow, picking up the wings. We decided to all take a bite at the same time. Guess who got the Insanity Wing? Yup, me of course! I’d be lying if I said I didn’t cry a bit (as pictured below). The spice was very intense. Thankfully after a few glasses of milk the fire in my mouth was put out.
Don’t have any friends who would want to try this with you? Fear not! East Coast Wings & Grill also has the Insanity Challenge, where you have 8 minutes to eat 4 insanity wings. Once you complete that you must sit there for 8 minutes without any drinks or food. If you complete the challenge your wings are free and you’ll get your picture up on the Hall of Fame in the restaurant. I had two friends try this challenge, only one made it.
