Today is a day of many thanks. First, I am thankful for my family and friends (that includes you guys!). I am thankful for a great job (that doesn’t feel like a job) here at Couponaholic.net. I am thankful that a year and half ago Steve saw something in me and Fred came along and feels the same way. I am thankful for my health and being around all of these children that keep me young.
Today, I have to say though that I am thankful that the lady in Walgreens from Clarksville is not from here! I have seen alot of things and I am sure you guys have seen this before but I had never witnessed first hand a shelf clearer like this. I was at the store when they opened this morning. I got a couple of items of each and some I even got 4 of but there were three times that still left on the shelf. The manager at this store knows me so she made sure to tell me to let her know when I was ready to check out and she would take me at the cosmetics counter so we didn’t back the line up. I was there doing my first transaction when up walks this lady with THREE carts FULL! I try to be respectful and do one transaction and move out of the way and I did just that today. However, she DID NOT do the same thing. She went through her 15 transactions while I was standing there. I say 15 because she had taken all of the remainder Crest toothpaste. I try very hard to keep my mouth shut in most situations but this is one time I just could not. This lady was joking around with her mom and the guy with her about being a couponer! She never used a single COUPON! She only used Register Rewards. She then went on to explain how she couldn’t believe that people weren’t lined up outside to get in because they would have been where she was from. That was the last thing I could handle. I looked at her and with a smile on my face I said, “Well, that would have been pretty pointless because once you came through there would have been nothing left on the shelves for anyone else!” She said, “Oh they have more stock in the back.” I looked at her and I said, “That shows that you aren’t from here because everything this store gets is on the floor and I am sure the manager here can back up my statement.” The manager was steadily shaking her head in agreement. Once the “couponer” got finished it was time for the Mom to checkout. I think that she understood what I was trying to say and politely went to a different register. I got up to ring up my second transaction and the other register called the manager for a price verification. I looked at her and I said, “I wouldn’t normally do this but THEY can wait.” She laughed and said how much she couldn’t believe that they were not very respectful and YES they waited until I got done with ALL the rest of my transactions. So, today I am also thankful that I can say that I am responsible and respectful true couponer that loves what she does so much that she shares her experiences with all of you guys and leaves items for the rest of the couponers. (Yes, I will probably go back again this weekend maybe even today but I will give other a chance to get some goodies before I do.)
