Rainsbury House is set in 16 glorious acres of  woodland and pasture within the Exmoor National Park. The house and barns nestle in the tranquil and secluded 'Upton Arm' of Wimbleball Lake, with stunning views across wooded valleys and trout-filled streams.

We welcomed our first guests in July 2014, having spent 18 months renovating two lovely barns and the original 1750s farmhouse to create eco-friendly, 4 Star Gold luxury self catering accommodation (7 bedrooms + 5 bathrooms sleeping 13 plus two cots) and a painting studio.

We have retained all of the old barn charm with exposed stonework, inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove, but have put in 5 sumptuous bathrooms and 2 new well-equipped kitchens with granite worktops.

A large wood pellet boiler keeps both barns, the main house and the painting studio toasty all year round. There is a badminton court (equipment provided), a large hot tub and barbecue facilities (with free charcoal).

As well as our delicious welcome hamper and cream tea on arrival, we also offer to unpack any shopping that you order online prior to your arrival.
