Nestled in the beautiful Welsh countryside on the edge of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire, this charming cottage offers visitors the opportunity to walk, cycle, fish, horse ride and sightsee this stunning area, or just kick back and relax. There are many beautiful beaches close by with golden sands such Llangrannog, Penbryn and New Quay, where you can soak up the sun, spot a dolphin or a grey seal or explore the fantastic coastal path.

Built in c.1850, Gellideg has been beautifully renovated and extended to a stylish warm romantic retreat. Through the pretty stable door you will find a cosy sitting room which exudes character, with beams, slate hearth, terracotta floor and hand made oak windows. The traditional wood burner blends effortlessly with the mix of classic and contemporary furniture and furnishings and the underfloor heating will warm your toes.

There is a wonderfully sociable country kitchen/dining room with lots of character: there’s plenty of space for family meals around the heavy wooden dining table or pull the curtains, light the candles and you can enjoy a cosy romantic supper for two.

Very attractive master bedroom with sumptuous king-size bed and luxurious bedding, French doors to private balcony, and its own contemporary bathroom next door with large double ended bath and rain shower; a real boutique retreat. The balcony makes a perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee taking in the views over the valley, or a romantic alfresco night cap under the stars.

The stylish and spacious second bedroom has attractive oak beams, sloping ceilings and a pretty cottage window. There is plenty of room for us to pull out the second single bed to make a twin room, or set up the travel cot. The cosy bedding and soft furnishings will tempt you to bed and the pretty modern en suite means there will be no queuing for the bathroom. The wonderful quietness at Gellideg makes for a very relaxing night’s sleep.

With a child of their own, the owners have taken great care to make the cottage a great place to take babies and young children and yet not spoil the character and enjoyment of the cottage for adults. There are plenty of baby and toddler facilities, toys and books too.

Listen to the tweeting birds, spot a buzzard or a red kite, or just sit back and enjoy the beautiful views across the valley. This gorgeous property has a beautiful hedged garden over two levels, with a stunning box hedge parterre that children love running around, lawn and attractively planted borders. Relax on one of the two patios, or in one of the many seating areas where you can sit and day dream. The garden is private and perfect for sunbathing or alfresco dining watching a beautiful sunset. The upper garden is fenced so little people can enjoy running around with you.
