Walterboro, S.C. (WCBD) –Several Colleton County students were medically treated after consuming food laced with drugs.

According to officials the school, the administration of Colleton County High School referred an incident to the Colleton County Sheriff’s Department involving students who sold food items, that were allegedly laced with marijuana (or another drug), to other students.

Three students who ingested the items were treated at Colleton Medical Center. This was an isolated incident. As of this time, two students have been charged for their involvement in the incident.

The district is cooperating with the Sheriff’s Department as this incident is still under investigation.
