SQL Server DBA
Exciting opportunity for a SQL Server DBA to join a progressive technology and services company.
You will do 80% production and 20% development DBA duties. You will be transforming their data base environment into a enterprise operation. The current environment is approximately 25 databases with a average of 1 to 2 Terabytes. The DBA support is outsourced and they want to bring back in house. Several major projects planned including database consolidation, upgrade from SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2012, and disaster recovery & backup project.
Your responsibilities will include database administration, SQL development, stored procedures, queries, reports, architecture, replication, back up & recovery, disaster recovery, performance tuning, optimization, and supporting Business Intelligence tools (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, OLAP Cubes) for the development team.
This is a direct hire position in the perimeter area. Great opportunity to make an impact on multiple projects. Awesome company culture and work environment including telecommuting one day a week (after you have been there for 6 months).
Job Requirements
4+ years as a SQL Server DBA
DBA Production and Development experience
SQL Server 2008 R2 (prefer 2012)
SQL Development
Performance Tunning
Replication
Disaster Recovery
Virtualization (prefer VMware)
Design and Architecture
Stored procedures
Excellent communication skills
