Leidos has a current job opportunity for a Physical and Electronic Security System Project Engineer with design experience. This position is located in Vienna, VA. Telework is an option.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Project Engineer will support design, installation, service and support projects within the Federal Government physical and electronic security business segment. The Project Engineer will support projects across a number of complex Government programs as well as provide significant bid and proposal support to include technical proposal writing, technical solution design and development, estimating, sub/supplier negotiations and internal proposal reviews.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design and technical proposal development for electronic security systems.
• Interface with team personnel, subcontractors, support personnel and customers.
• Duties include drafting, design development, technical proposal writing, developing estimates and negotiating with suppliers.
• Maintain knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD procurement policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree or higher with 10+ years’ related experience to include 2+ years of lead experience.
• Current Secret clearance.
• Demonstrated proficiency at design development, installation and maintenance of electronic security systems as well as technical bid and proposal development for electronic security systems projects. Domain knowledge and expertise must include electronic security systems including intrusion detection, physical access control and video surveillance systems.
• Proven electronic security systems engineer with the ability to design complex, multi-dimensional security systems as well as bid and proposal efforts.
• Proficient at drafting, site surveys and analysis, design development, bid strategy, technical proposal writing, pricing analysis and subcontractor/supplier negotiations.
• In-depth knowledge of federal Government Force Protection and electronic security systems community, practices and technologies.
• Proficient in Visio or AutoCAD.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Familiarity with electronic security systems vendors to include but not limited to Pelco, Bosch, Panasonic, Genetec, Vidsys, FLIR, Axis, DMP, Vindicator, Hirsch, Lenel, Software House, AMAG, MDI, etc.
• Customer interface skills to include the ability to listen to and understand customer expectations and concerns, and assure customer we are executing services effectively.
