JavaScript Engineer / Software Engineer
Job Responsibilities
As a JavaScript Engineer you will function as part of the Rapid Development Team with essential functions being the development and support of the HTML5 Smart Store Player.
Specific responsibilities:
· Developing new features and product improvements
· Correcting defects
· Providing LOEs for tasks during iteration planning
· Tracking development time for tasks
· Providing assistance during system integration
· Debugging production issues
JavaScript Engineer / Software Engineer
Job Requirements
We are looking for a skilled JavaScript Engineer with an excellent ability to balance team and individual responsibilities in a fast-paced sometimes unpredictable environment. Strong communication skills, analytical abilities, and troubleshooting skills are also essential.
Additional requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
· 2-3 years in a similar position; startup experience, a plus
· Knowledge of modern Javascript module patterns
· Understanding of AJAX and cross-domain/origin requests (CORS)
· Ability to write jQuery plugins
· Understanding of JavaScript templating solutions
· Understanding of MVC pattern
· Experience with HTML5, CSS, Json, and Ajax
· Experience with RIA development and Agile Development / SCRUM
