We are looking to fill the position of Front-End Web Developer with five-plus years of HTML, CSS and JavaScript experience. The top candidate has a creative mind, but is all about the code. They are a detail-oriented self-starter who can work well independently but also with a team of developers and designers. They can take a design mockup and create a full functioning website including JavaScriptjQuery features from scratch that can wow while still keeping to standards-based, semantic markup.

Duties and Responisibilities The Front-end Web Developer will be expected to create websites for the Microsoft SharePoint platform using their HTML, CSS JavaScriptjQuery expertise. This can include DOM manipulation and .Net programming. They will also need to be able to work with SharePoint (specifically 2010 and 2013 would be a plus).
The ideal candidate needs to be self-driven, ready to push the envelope, open to learning new technologies and have custom JavaScriptjQuery and HTMLCSS coding abilities, as well as a working understanding of Adobe PhotoShop (Illustrator and InDesign a plus). Knowledge of SASS and LESS frameworks is also preferred. Your end goal is be able to make any web design we may throw at you come to life. Essential Duties would include Determine how best to transform a visual concept and add custom requested features into a production-ready site Develop, implement and maintain corporate websites, corporate intranet sites and some electronic mail campaigns Expertly code a design from scratch (outside of a CMS) using HTML, CSS and JavascriptjQuery Build for optimal display on mobile devices and tablets, especially implementing cutting edge responsive design and mobile friendly navigation Work with the SharePoint platform to create masterpages, layouts, display templates and apply branding throughout using best practice solutions with out of the box functionality.
Be a SharePoint 2010 end-user administrator and can configure permissions, workflows, site creation and management as needed Work directly with clients and conduct meetings and technical requirement gathering sessions, document it and drive the production of feature requests (including determining the steps needed to implement it and then develop it from start to finish). Know project management and software development lifecycles including quality assurance testing phases on products and services Supervise inside and outside consulting developers as needed may be asked to teachdirect junior developers as well Requirements Ability to commute daily to Davis (some telecommuting may be allowed in the future) Approximately 5-6 year of related experience is required (a portfolio is highly encouraged), BA or AA is also highly recommended Expert knowledge in creating sites with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and related technologies Familiarity in developing for Microsoft’s SharePoint platform a plus Knowledge of accessibility, WCAG2.0 and Section 508 guidelines and ability to apply best practices to coded prototypes. Knowledge of semantic or structured markup. Experience with Micorsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) and Office 365 Excellent organization, time and project management skills and multi-tasking abilities.
