Assignment Capsule
 
As an Application Analyst you will: develop an understanding of Humana's business needs and translate those needs into technological systems, design specifications and solutions. You will partner with other associates to analyze, design, develop, implement and integrate moderate and complex business systems that will optimize business outcomes.
 
• Provide development and ongoing software support for various phases of the software development life cycle of projects
• Build a standards-driven, scalable, secure and dynamic SOA-based services for the viewing and storing of medical records
• Partner with other business areas within Humana to understand application requirements and develop to fulfill those requirements
• Take ownership of building and improving web applications in an agile environment
• Guide technical teams in delivery of quality solutions

Job Requirements

Role Essentials
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of computer development experience
• Strong .NET technical design abilities
• Experience developing design artifacts, such as component diagrams and swim lanes
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills  
• Strong, proven analytical abilities in relation to system design  
• Open systems development experience in .NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC4, TFS, WCF Services, Linq, ADO.NET Entity Framework and SQL2012
• Comprehensive understanding of SDLC, OO principles and design patterns
 
Role Desirables
• Experience with standard medical record solution
• Experience with application architectural design and business process definitions  
• Agile / Scrum development life cycle
• Ability to work with a variety of contractor models
• Experience with SSRS reporting and SSIS
• Experience with MS Biztalk, K2 Blackpearl, DataPower, IBM MessageBroker

You will report to a Technology Manager. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Operating Officer.
