I have a brand new indie to show you tonight with the launch of her very first collection! I am very excited to show you this collection for 2 reasons… 1 – it’s gorgeous and 2 – the maker is someone who has been reading my blog since almost the beginning. As soon as her name popped up in my email folder I knew who it was and to see she launched her own brand is just amazing!
So the first collection from Lollipop Posse Lacquer is named The Dancing Girl which is an 8 piece collection inspired by singer/songwriter Tori Amos. This is a bright collection with a lot of shimmer involved.

Boys Can’t Be Men

Boys Can’t Be Men is a neon pink crelly base with aqua shimmer and matte blue triangle, square and hex glitters mixed in. I used 2 coats for these photos and a glossy top coat.
Comatose State
“Every day’s my wedding day / Though baby’s still in his comatose state / I’ll dye my own Easter eggs / Just don’t go yet / Just don’t go” ~Tori Amos, “Father Lucifer”
Comatose State is a bright blue leaning turquoise crelly base with pink glass flecks and matte neon pink hex and square glitters. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Way To Go, Mr. Microphone

Way To Go, Mr. Microphone is an orchid purple crelly base with a linear holo and gold shimmer. I used 2 coats for these photos
Don’t Say Morning’s Come
“Don’t say morning’s come/ Don’t say it’s up to me / If I could take 25 minutes / Out of the record books” ~Tori Amos, “Sugar”
Don’t Say Morning’s Come is a vibrant, almost neon sky blue with pink shimmer and micro-fine holo mixed in.
The formula for this one was a touch different than the others and it’s hard to explain. I only needed 2 coats for these photos, but when I took the brush out of the bottle, it looked almost gel like and I thought it would be super thick… but it applied perfectly. So there was no issue in application, but it seemed thicker just from looking at the brush. So if you snag this one and open it with the same thoughts I did, don’t worry – apply like normal and you will see there really isn’t an issue with it.
Shock Me Sane

Shock Me Sane is a fluorescent magenta crelly with a mixture of blue and aqua flecks, and a fine dusting of micro holo shimmer.
Somebody Leave The Light On

Somebody Leave The Light On is a bright yellow crelly base with copper shimmer and a touch of holo shimmer mixed in. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Space Cake High
“In the glories of the 80’s / You said “I’m not afraid to die” / I said I don’t find that remotely funny / Even on this space cake high / And then it all seemed clear / Just then you go and disappear” ~Tori Amos, “Glory of the 80’s”
Space Cake High is a neon green crelly base with aqua glass flecks and a touch of holo shimmer mixed in. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Too Many Stars, Not Enough Sky

Too Many Stars, Not Enough Sky is a vibrant cobalt blue crelly scattered holo. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Overview
For a first launch, I think this collection is amazing. The colors are vibrant and easy to apply. The only one that had me worried was Don’t Say Morning’s Come, but I actually had no application issues with it. All of them have the nice opacity of a creme but the beautiful squishy look of a jelly. The glass flecks and glitter within the shades don’t overwhelm either, the base color is still the star of the polish and the flecks just add a nice touch to an already beautiful color.
