MIAMI, FL – March 14, 2015 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) – Hispanicize 2015 organizers today unveiled the event’s film festival selections with featured celebrity screenings and industry professional development sessions. Hispanicize 2015 (http://www.hispanicizeevent.com), is largest annual conference event for Latino trendsetters and newsmakers in social media, journalism, advertising, public relations, film, music and innovation taking place at the InterContinental in downtown Miami, March 16-20.

The film festival showcase is presented by AARP, DreamWorks Animation, Universal Pictures and Regal Cinemas. This year’s selected films are:

– “After School” Directed by: Carlos Melendez, Mauricio Mendoza

– “Millie and the Lords” Directed by: Jennica Carmona

– “Puerto Ricans in Paris” Directed by: Ian Edelman

– “Rosa” Directed by: Violeta Lockhart

– “It Can Only Be Used Once” Directed by: Michael Delorenzo

– “Skirting the Issues” Directed by: Carlos Berrios

In addition, DreamWorks Animation will present a special preview presentation of “Home,” which features the voices of Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Jim Parsons and Steve Martin, and Universal Pictures will have an exclusive screening of “Unfriended.” Unfolding over a teenager’s computer screen, the terrifying film ushers in a new era of horror.

“We’re proud to have the support of AARP, DreamWorks Animation, Universal Pictures and Regal Cinemas in presenting this year’s showcase,” said Hispanicize film showcase director Calixto Chinchilla. “Our films feature a strong new crop of films and filmmakers that I know attendees will enjoy. Hollywood celebrities confirmed to attend the red carpet and sessions are: Celines Toribio and Luis Guzman with more announcements to come.

The film showcase will have a strong star power, and the nation’s largest Hispanic and social media event as its backdrop.
