Lee Trewhela comments: “As someone who writes about the Cornish food and drink industry on a weekly basis, I know just how much there is to shout about in our county, so I’m delighted to be a judge for the Choose Cornish Awards.”

Each category will also be judged by a representative of the award’s sponsors, which include Cornwall Chamber of Commerce, Cornwall College, First Great Western, Cornish Mutual and Cornish Mining World Heritage site.

Cornish Mutual Director Peter Beaumont commented: “We’re delighted to be supporting the Choose Cornish Awards. Cornish Mutual’s affinity with food and agriculture goes back to when we were founded, in 1903, so we’re always keen to be involved in activities that support this important Cornish sector.”

The Choose Cornish Awards are different to other awards because they are not intended to find businesses that are simply excellent at what they do.  They celebrate the businesses and individuals in the county who go to the greatest lengths to make a real difference to the community and economy of Cornwall by supporting other local businesses and, most importantly, those that have really embraced the Choose Cornish campaign.

This is a unique opportunity for those working in the catering, hospitality, tourism, service provider and retail sectors in Cornwall to be applauded for supporting fellow Cornish businesses.
