Uma chance. Uma change de ouro. Através da Games Academy, cinco jovens jogadores ganharam a oportunidade de competir em solo americano. Juntos, eles vão competir sob as cores da Games Academy no WinOut $20,000 CS:GO Championship. O evento começo às 10AM dos dias 4-6 de Setembro, e você pode assistí-lo aqui na Azubu.

SHOOWTiME
SHOOWTiME começou a jogar Counter-Strike competitivamente em Abril de 2014 pelo Team INFLAMES. Após apenas quatro meses ele foi jogar pela GFXeSports. Em Novembro de 2014, ele se juntou ao time rampageKillers, onde jogou até Julho de 2015. Foi nessa hora que foi chamado pra jogar pelo Nao Tem Como (NTC), time que venceu a Golden Chance da Games Academy e foi contratado para jogar pelo time da Games Academy.

Oi! Meu nome é Gustavo e meu nome dentro de jogo é SHOOWTiME. Atualmente sou membro da GamesAcademy e meu papel dentro de jogo é ser o lurker, ou em outras palavras, o flanqueador.
Como começou a jogar CS:GO?
Eu comecei a jogar CS:GO por causa de alguns amigos meus, e de início era só um hobby. Quando eu comecei a entrar no lado competitivo da coisa, eu comecei a gostar bastante do jogo. Hoje meu foco e dedicação são inteiramente profissionais.
Como se sentiu ao ganhar sua vaga na Golden Chance?
Foi o torneio mais importante da minha vida até agora! Devido às partidas emocionantes da final tornou tudo muito mais especial. Foi realmente minha chance de ouro e agora estou aqui pra ganhar.
Qual foi sua melhor experiência nessa viagem até agora?
Até agora? Tudo! Viajar para outro país com os meus amigos, viver com meus companheiros, Camila, Dead, etc. Essas pessoas incríveis realmente fazem essa experiência se tornar muito mais fácil e agradável. Em relação ao lado do jogo, os times americanos são muito bem organizados e isso nos ajuda a não perder o foco, algo que acontecia com certa frequência no Brasil.
Como você acha que vai se sair no torneio esse fim de semana? Tem algum time em particular que você quer jogar encarar?
Acredito que vamos surpreender muitas pessoas. Estamos realmente muito confiantes no nosso potencial, mas temos que manter os pés no chão e respeitar todos os adversários, já que tudo isso é muito novo para nós. Nós certamente vamos dar nosso melhor pra ir bem, e quem sabe, talvez até ganhar o campeonato em sí. Eu particularmente gostaria de jogar contra a CLG!
Alguma mensagem para mandar?
Primeiro e mais especial de tudo gostaria de agradecer à Deus já que tudo está dando muito certo para nós. Eu tenho que agradecer minha família pelo apoio, mesmo eles estando no Brasil. Gostaria também de agradecer ao Fallen, Dead e Camila, que nos receberam de braços abertos. E por último meu time por acreditar em mim e me ajudar a chegar nesse ponto da minha vida.
FNX
FNX vem jogando Counter-Strike competitivamente desde que tem 11 anos. Ele jogou seu primeiro campeonato internacional na ESWC de 2005 pelo seu primeiro time profissional, Game Grachers. Logo depois ele se juntou ao Made In Brazil (mibr) onde se tornou Campeão Mundial na ESWC de 2006. Em 2007, mais dois campeonatos mundiais foram ganhos pela mibr na Dreamhack e shGopen. Nos anos seguintes ele jogou pela FireGamers, Mandic, KaBuM, onde múltiplos títulos foram ganhos, incluíndo uma sequência de 5 vitórias do Campeonato PanAmericano.

Oi! Meu nome é Lincoln Lau, meu nome dentro de jogo é FNX, e atualmente sou o Entry Killer pela Games Academy. Eu comecei a jogar Counter-Strike quando tinha 11 anos. Ganhei minha primeira qualificatória internacional em 2005 e fui o jogador mais novo a jogar um evento internacional. Um ano depois me tornei o mais jovem jogador a ganhar um campeonato mundial na ESWC.
Como começou a jogar CS:GO?
Comecei a jogar CS:GO na época que não conseguia achar mais nenhum torneio de CS 1.6, mas agora estou aqui, focado mais uma vez pra ganhar outro título.
Como se sentiu ao ganhar sua vaga na Golden Chance?
Foi diferente, bem diferente! Passei por muitas coisas fora do jogo, pessoas que me conhecem de verdade, sabem o que aconteceu durante esse tempo. Assim que ganhamos eu fiquei muito feliz em saber que eu teria outra chance de chegar onde quero chegar e mostrar mais uma vez o verdadeiro FNX.
Qual foi sua melhor experiência nessa viagem até agora?
Não consigo falar uma coisa em especial, é uma combinação da experiência toda. Aqui tudo é melhor. Especialmente no cenário de CS:GO, os times aqui treinam muito bem, eles não ficam zoando se perderem. No Brasil é totalmente diferente, eles não levam as coisas profissionalmente lá. Por isso que atualmente para conquistar o mundo temos que sair do Brasil, para achar e jogar em outro nível.
Como você acha que vai se sair no torneio esse fim de semana? Tem algum time em particular que você quer jogar encarar?
Nós acabamos de chegar, mas daremos nosso melhor e iremos o mais longe que pudermos. Gostaria de jogar contra a LG ou CLG na final, quem sabe, talvez possamos ver uma final brasileira =).
Alguma mensagem para mandar?
Primeiro de tudo, gostaria de agradecer a comunidade brasileira de CS:GO que acreditou em mim. Hen1 começou a jogar Counter-Strike em 2004, mas só foi em 2009 que ele começou a jogar competitivamente pela NL6Ng. Em 20011 começou a ganhar reconhecimento nacional, ao jogar pela OPENGAME, onde ficou em 3º no campeonato nacional como um time novo. Em 2012 ele ganhou inúmeros torneios por times como FireGamers e brutaLity. Em 2014 entrou na KaBuM e jogou a ESWC. Em 2015, jogou pelo Nao Tem Como (NTC), onde conseguiu ganhar a Golden Chance e assim foi pra Games Academy!

Como começou a jogar CS:GO?
Comecei a jogar CS:GO quando não consegui achar mais nenhum campeonato de CS 1.6 ou Crossfire, mas assim que comecei a jogar não consegui parar.
Como se sentiu ao ganhar sua vaga na Golden Chance?
É indescritível. Só Deus sabe o quão duro meu time e eu trabalhamos por essa oportunidade pra se mudar pra fora e tentar ganhar nosso dia ao sol.
Qual foi sua melhor experiência nessa viagem até agora?
Não consigo falar uma coisa em particular, tudo aqui é uma experiência nova. Eu gosto bastante do sentimento de união do meu time. Até mesmo os pequenos momentos do tipo ir ao InNOut como todo mundo é sensacional! Todo mundo aqui é super receptivo e legal e só tende a melhorar.
Como você acha que vai se sair no torneio esse fim de semana? Tem algum time em particular que você quer jogar encarar?
Estamos treinando muito duro e eu gostaria de conseguir pelo menos um 4º lugar. Particularmente eu gostaria de jogar contra a CLG que são os favoritos pro título. Seria ótimo ver uma final entre Brasil e EUA.
Alguma mensagem para mandar?
Primeiro de tudo, gostaria de agradecer à Deus por tudo que está acontecendo na minha vida e à Games Academy pela oportunidade de estar aqui. TACO
TACO começou a jogar Counter Strike no final de 2013 quando entrou no semXorah. Logo depois entrou no Baixissimo Nivel onde jogou seu primeiro grande torneio no Brasil. Em 2014, ele começou a jogar CS:GO profissionalmente pela Team Dexterity, onde permaneceu até 2015 quando se juntou à Games Academy.

Como começou a jogar CS:GO?
Comecei a jogar CS:GO depois que minha conta num MMORPG foi hackeada. LOL.
Como se sentiu ao ganhar sua vaga na Golden Chance?
Me sinto muito feliz por ganhar mas eu sempre luto pra melhorar.
Qual foi sua melhor experiência nessa viagem até agora?
A melhor experiência até agora foi a qualidade da gameplay e dos treinos que conseguimos no cenário norte-americano de CS:GO.
Como você acha que vai se sair no torneio esse fim de semana? Tem algum time em particular que você quer jogar encarar?
Não posso falar como vamos nos sair porque estamos passando por muitas mudanças recentemente e tentando melhorar tudo que precisamos para podermos ir bem nesse torneio. Não tem um time em particular que eu gostaria de enfrentar, mas seria extremamente gratificante estar nas finais contra a Luminosity Gaming.

Oi! Meu nome é Lucas e meu nome dentro de jogo é lucas1. Eu jogo atualmente pela Games Academy e meu papel dentro de jogo é ser o entry killer ou a primeira linha de ataque do time.
Como começou a jogar CS:GO?
Eu comecei a jogar CS:GO em 2004 como um hobby através do meu pai e irmão mais velho. De início era um hobby de família já que meu pai, dois irmãos e eu constumávamos ir em LAN’s pra jogar CS:GO por diversão. Nós na verdade começamos a jogar CS:GO competitivamente como uma família mas logo meu irmão (hen1) e eu notamos que se quiséssemos tratar isso como uma profissão teríamos que nos separar nossa família do jogo. Desde então estamos jogando juntos no mesmo time e aqui estamos.
Como se sentiu ao ganhar sua vaga na Golden Chance?
Foi o máximo! Foi uma onda de emoções indescritível vencer e ganhar essa chance incrível de viver meu sonho.
Qual foi sua melhor experiência nessa viagem até agora?
Eu não consigo pensar numa única experiência já que a coisa toda está sendo surreal. Todo dia que passa eu tenho uma nova melhor experiência.
Como você acha que vai se sair no torneio esse fim de semana? Tem algum time em particular que você quer jogar encarar?
Estamos treinando muito e eu gostaria de chegar no top 4. Jogar contra a CLG seria ótimo, especialmente se for na final.

Q. Please introduce yourself and describe your in-game role.
Hi! My name is Gustavo and my in-game alias is SHOOWTiME. I am currently a member of GamesAcademy and my in-game role is the lurker, or in other words, the flanker.
Q. How did you start playing CS:GO?
I started playing CS:GO because of some of my friends, and at first it was only a hobby. When I started getting into the competitive side of things, I started to really like the game. Today my focus and dedication is entirely professional.
Q. How did you feel winning your spot at Golden Chance?
It was the most important tournament of my life so far! Due to the thrilling final matches it made it that much more special. It really was my golden chance and now I’m in it for the win.
Q. What has been your best experience in this trip so far?
Until now? Everything! Traveling to another country with my friends, living with my teammates, Camila, Dead, etc. These amazing people really make this experience much easier and enjoyable. Regarding the game aspect of things, American squads are really well organized and that helps us not lose our focus, something which happened quite frequently in Brazil.
Q. How do you feel you will perform in the tournament this weekend? Is there any team in particular that you would like to play against?
I believe we are gonna surprise a lot of people. We are really confident in our potential, but we have to keep our feet on the ground and respect all our opponents, as all of this is still very new to us. We will certainly do our best to place well, and who knows, maybe even win the whole thing. I’d particularly like to play against CLG!
Q. Any shoutouts or last thoughts?
First and foremost I’d like to thank God as everything is really working out for us. I have to thank my family for their support, even though they are in Brazil. I’d also like to thank Fallen, Dead, and Camila who have welcomed us open hearted. And lastly my team for believing in me and helping me reach this point in my life.
FNX
FNX has been playing Counter-Strike competitively since he was 11 years old. He attended his first international event at ESWC 2015 for his first professional team Game Grachers. Soon after he joined Made In Brazil (mibr) where they were World Champions at ESWC 2006. In 2007, two more World Championships were won by mibr at Dreamhack 2007 and shGopen. In the following years played for FireGamers, Mandic, KaBuM were numerous titles were won including a 5 time run at PanAmerican championships.

I started playing CS:GO by the time when I couldn’t find any CS 1.6 tournaments anymore, but now I’m here, focused once again to win another title.
Q. How did you feel winning your spot at Golden Chance?
It was different, really different! I’ve been through a lot of things outside the game, people that actually know me, know what happened during this time. Right after we won I was really happy to know that I would have another shot to get where I want to be and show once more the real FNX.
Q. What has been your best experience in this trip so far?
I can’t say just one particular thing, it’s a combination of the whole experience. Here everything is better. Especially in the CS:GO scene, teams here practice really well, they don’t screw around if they lose. In Brazil it’s different, they don’t take things so professionally over there. That’s why to conquer the world nowadays we gotta leave Brazil, to find and play in another level.
Q. How do you feel you will perform in the tournament this weekend? Is there any team in particular that you would like to play against?
We just got here, but we are going to give it our best shot and go as far as we can. I would like to play against LG or CLG in the finals, who knows, maybe we can get a Brazilian final =).

First of all, I would like to say thank you, to the Brazilian CS:GO community that believed in me. Hen1 started playing Counter-Strike in 2004, but it wasn’t until 2009 that he started playing competitively for NL6Ng. In 2011 started getting national recognition, as he went to play for OPENGAME where they placed 3rd at a national championship as a new and upcoming team. In 2012 he won numerous tournaments with teams such as FireGamers and brutaLity. By 2014 he had joined KaBuM and attended ESWC. I can’t say just one particular thing, everything here is a new experience. I really enjoy the feeling of union in my team. Even the little moments like going to InNOut with everyone feels amazing! Everyone here has been super receptive and nice and it only tends to get better.
Q. How do you feel you will perform in the tournament this weekend? Is there any team in particular that you would like to play against?
We have been practicing really hard and would like to finish at least in the top 4. Particularly I would like to play against CLG who are contenders for the title. It would be amazing to see a Brasil vs USA final.

First of all, i would like to thank God for everything that’s happening in my life and Games Academy for the opportunity to be here. The best experience so far has been the quality of gameplay and practice we get with North America’s CS:GO scene.
Q. How do you feel you will perform in the tournament this weekend? Is there any team in particular that you would like to play against?
I can’t say how we will perform as we’ve been undergoing a lot of changes recently and trying to fix everything we need to so we can perform well in this tournament. There isn’t one team in particular I would like to face, but it would be extremely gratifying to be in the finals against Luminosity Gaming.

Hi! My name is Lucas and my ingame alias is lucas1. I currently play for Games Academy and my ingame role is the entry killer or the teams’ first line of attack.
Q. How did you start playing CS:GO?
I started playing CS:GO in 2004 as hobby through my father and older brother. At first it was a family hobby as my father, 2 brothers, and I use to go to LAN’s and play CS:GO just for fun. We actually started playing CS:GO competitively as a family but soon my brother (hen1) and I noticed that if we wanted to take this seriously as a profession we would have to separate our family from the game. Since then we’ve been playing together in the same team and here we are.
Q. How did you feel winning your spot at Golden Chance?
It felt amazing! It was an indescribable rush of emotions winning and getting this amazing chance to live my dream.
Q. What has been your best experience in this trip so far?
I can’t really say any single experience as this whole thing has just been surreal. Every day that goes by I have a new best experience.
Q. How do you feel you will perform in the tournament this weekend? Is there any team in particular that you would like to play against?
We have been practicing really hard and I would like to make a run into the top 4. Playing against CLG would be great, especially if it is in the final.
