The Senior Oracle Database Administrator is responsible for supporting the Oracle databases, Oracle E-Business Suite of applications and ensuring their performance, availability, and security. Requires in-depth skills in Oracle database administration, SQL programming, UNIX operating systems, relational database systems and structures, problem solving, and communication. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Install/migrate/upgrade /configure Oracle E-Business Suite applications and databases across multiple environments.

Provide day-to-day database administration and ensure integrity, security, and availability of Oracle applications systems.

Administer environments including technologies such as OEM, OID/OAM, SOA/BPM, OBIEE, WebCenter, and WebLogic.

Refresh/cone Oracle application and database environments.

Performance tune database/Oracle applications.

Support high availability database infrastructure including but not limited to RMAN backup/recovery and standby databases for disaster recovery.

Patch Oracle applications and databases.

Develop PL/SQL and UNIX shell scripts to automate various daily DBA operations or as-needed for business requirements.

Translate business needs into technical solutions and define solutions to problems through reasoned application of information technology. Design, develop, document and analyze overall architecture of systems, including hardware and software. Determine integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs. Coordinate design and integration of total system including subsystems. Research and recommend technology to improve the current systems.

Solve unique problems through evaluative judgment and precedent. Independently apply sophisticated analysis in evaluating issues and develop new concepts, methods, and techniques for cross-functional initiatives. Recognize and pursue alternative methods.

Function as a subject matter expert within own discipline/specialty area and basic knowledge source for other disciplines/specialty areas. Possess deep technical knowledge. Apply in-depth knowledge of discipline/specialty area standards and processes to work. Integrate industry experience with deep professional/technical knowledge.

Provide technical guidance and explain advanced concepts to others in work area. May mentor other DBAs and developers in the department. Coordinate across multiple departments. Promote active listening and open communication. Provides leadership and guidance to others.

Work a flexible schedule. Some after hours support is required, including but not limited to, monthly maintenance window and potential work from the DR facility as a "first responder".

Participate on 7x24 on-call DBA support.

Follow strict IT security and Sarbanes-Oxley adherence policies.

Perform other duties as delegated by IT Management.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

Bachelor's degreeĀ OR equivalent experience.

Oracle certification is preferred.

7+ years Oracle database administration experience with 3 years of Oracle E-Business Suite experience required.

Experience with UNIX (HP-UX) and/or Windows.

Oracle RMAN experience is required.

Experience with disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.

Self motivated and multi-tasking individual that works well in a team environment.

Manage and coordinate multiple projects to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Oracle E-Business Suite version R12 experience.

Oracle version 11G experience.

Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and Oracle iAS experience is preferred.

Experience with WebLogic, Oracle Identity Management. SOA/BPM, OBIEE, ECM, and/or data warehousing is preferred.

Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.

Must have expereince in IT infrastructure and applications.

Time management and punctuality is critical.

Understanding of business strategy and the impact of IT on those strategies.
