This is a Direct Hire opportunity with one of our well known clients.Overview:The Network Engineer is responsible for administrating and supporting client's network environments according to best practices, while ensuring high levels of network availability and performance. This individual will develop, implement, and oversee policies and procedures to ensure consistent network uptime, patching and performance. The Network Engineer is also responsible for networking support of related infrastructure and systems, including Windows operating systems and servers, backups and storage infrastructure, as required.Responsibilities: General Networking device administration, which includes (but not limited to):o Cisco Routers, Switches and Firewallso Juniper Switches and Firewallso Adtran Switches and Routerso HP Procurve switches Firewall Administrationo Configure and implement firewallso Troubleshooting hardware and software problems for the firewallso Review of logs on regular basis LAN and WAN Administrationo Configure and implement networking switches, wireless devices and routerso Troubleshooting hardware and software problems for the switches and routerso Review of logs on regular basiso Implement dynamic and static routing and troubleshoot routing issues with the devices Monitoring and Management toolso Configuration and management of networking tools for Bandwidth monitoring, netflow analysis and networking device syslog collection and analysis. Backup and restore of Networking devices configurations using manual or automated tools General architecture of network infrastructure and security Maintenance of system configurations and documentation Patching and OS upgrade to networking devices as requiredCertifications:The following certifications are must be held or obtain, once joining the organization, within the first 120 days of employment Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) Cisco Certified Network Engineer (CCNE)Additional Requirements:Consulting/professional services experience highly desired.
