File sharing is now easier in construction, with today’s integration. This innovation enables contractors to use companywide solutions to store, distribute, and share documents.
For example, JBKnowledge, www.jbknowledge.com, Bryan, Texas, recently announced the latest version of the SmartBidNet construction bid software now integrates with Citrix, www.citrix.com, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., ShareFile, a secure file sync and sharing solution. With this integration, general contractors around the world can sync and upload construction project documents from ShareFile to the SmartBidNet online plan room.
As one example of real outcomes of this solution, the ability to upload and sync files from a ShareFile account with SmartBidNet during the pre-construction phase saves Swinerton Builders, www.swinerton.com, San Francisco, Calif., estimators and project managers from the types of file transfer errors that can delay projects once they are started, according to David Green, vice president, division manager, Swinerton Builders.
In order to integrate data and documents with ShareFile, SmartBidNet leveraged the ShareFile API (application programming interface) along with its own API to integrate file sharing data and services. SmartBidNet is now listed in the Citrix Ready Marketplace as a Citrix compatible solution.
