Savin Rock Fireworks

An estimated 100,000 revelers of all ages flock to our 3.5 mile shoreline to watch the Savin Rock Fireworks Committee launch the region’s largest Independence Day fireworks show off Bradley Point. Before the display, which is simulcast to patriotic anthems, dance the night away at the Savin Rock bandstand. The rain date is July 5.

Fireworks under the Stars

East Rock Park Summit

New Haven, Connecticut

Celebrate Independence Day and watch fireworks under the stars with family and friends.  Celebration begins at 4 p.m., and fireworks start at 9 p.m. Live music provided by Hit List from 4  to 8 p.m. East Rock’s parking lots and road to the summit will be inaccessible all day, and the city will charge an entrance fee to the park at the base. A shuttle service will be running between the base and the summit from 5 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., with return trips after the show concludes. Rain date is July 5

Independence Day Parade & Fireworks in Madison

Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

The Parade route starts at 11 AM in the Super Stop and Shop parking lot, will proceed west on Boston Post Road (Route 1) from Samson Rock Drive to the West Wharf Road and will end in the Surf Club. The fireworks display will be held at approximately 9:30 p.m. at the Madison Surf Club.

Ridgefield’s Family Fourth Fireworks

The gates open at 6:00 PM with the fireworks going off at dusk. Vendors are located on the upper and lower fields. New England Novelty sells fun hats, glow sticks. Chez Lenard will be cooking his gourmet hot dogs, and ice cream trucks will be there for dessert. Parking passes are $15, and can be purchased in advance. Watch the fireworks light up the sky offshore from Bayley Beach. The performance will last approximately 30 minutes.  The best viewing points will be from the mouth of Five Mile River to Rocky Point, including Bayley Beach and the shoreline clubs. Access to parking at Bayley Beach will be according to daytime rules: vehicles with a Bayley Beach sticker will be admitted, a $20 charge will be collected from vehicles without a sticker. Come watch the fireworks explode in the sky as they are launched from a barge off of Long Island Sound. Prior to the fireworks enjoy the music from The Atwood Express Oldies Band playing at Jennings Beach from 5:00 – 7:00 PM and The John Stevens Doubleshot Band playing at Penfield Beach from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. Beach Parking Permits are not required and parking is free after 6:00 PM at both the Penfield and Jennings parking lots but they do fill up early.  Jennings has more ample parking. Rain date is July 5.

Naugatuck Fireworks

Orange Fourth of July Celebration

The event will take place on the Orange Fairgrounds at 525 Orange Center Road, Orange. Families, bring your blankets and chairs and sit out and rock to one of New England’s premiere bands. The “British Invasion Tribute Band” will play  6:30 – 9:30 p.m. Starting promptly at 9:30 p.m., the world renowned “First Family of Fireworks,” Zambelli Fireworks Company will light up the sky. Light Snacks and beverages will be available. There will be a $5 Parking Contribution that benefits the Orange Little League.

Riverfest offers free entertainment including live bands, musicians, clowns, roving entertainers, and children’s activities. Fireworks displays can be seen at 3 locations: the Mortensen Riverfront Plaza at 300 Columbus Boulevard, Hartford and Founders Plaza and Great River Park, at 301 East River Drive, East Hartford. Festivities begin at 4 p.m. Fireworks go off at 9 p.m. The rain date is July 7.

Greenwich Fireworks

Binney Park and Greenwich Point

Greenwich, Connecticut

Greenwich will have fireworks displays at both Binney Park and Greenwich Point Park.  Both shows will begin at dusk and it is strongly recommended that viewers arrive early. Spectators at Greenwich Point will be entertained by a disc jockey stationed near the South Concession area starting at 7 p.m.  The fireworks display will be fired from the corner of Greenwich Point (Bluff Point), well beyond the South Concession Stand. The Greenwich Point will be closed when the maximum number of cars for the available parking spaces has been reached.  Greenwich Point will be closed to vehicular traffic at 8:30 pm, even if the parking capacity has not been reached.  A limited area of the Point will be restricted from public use on the day of the fireworks. The Binney Park display will feature the Sound Beach Community Band.  They will begin performing at 7:30 pm.  They will be located on the Showmobile and this year in the area of Binney Park near the flag pole near Sound Beach Avenue.  In addition, grills, cooking and open fires will be prohibited in Binney Park. The James Dutch Fogarty Independence Day Celebration (updated)

The festivities begin at 4:00 pm with face painting, petting zoo, inflatable bounces, clown and pony rides. Live entertainment on stage at the Bicentennial Band Shell starts with the pop music of Bamblusion Band. Performing at 7 p.m. is the powerful David Foster & the Mohegan Sun All-Stars. The spectacular, all-aerial fireworks display begins at 9:30 p.m. Parking is expected to be a major problem this year due to the shutting down of Parking Lot B at the top of the hill. Due to major reconstruction of that parking lot, parking will be at a minimum and available in Parking Lot C, accessible by Wetherell Street and Hillstown Road to Great Path. A special area has been designated for handicapped parking halfway between Parking Lot C and the Band Shell hill. It is highly recommended that the public come early to access parking. Because of the anticipated smaller crowd, the chicken barbecue has been eliminated from this year’s program but will return next year.

The band The Illusions will be playing 4:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m., and The P’Om plays 7:30-10:30 p.m. Fireworks start at dusk and are produced by Pyro-FX Entertainment. Sailfest

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation sponsors this Fireworks Extravaganza,  the 4th largest fireworks display in the Northeast. It is part of the three-day Sailfest event on the Thames River in New London. In addition to the fireworks display, Sailfest features amusement rides, free entertainment, Tall Ship, and more than 200 vendors lining the downtown streets. The Fireworks Experience starts at 7 p.m., Friday, July 12, on 2 State St. in New London. Mohegan Sun Hot Summer Rooftop Fireworks

On Thursday, July 25, Mohegan Sun will be hosting its Fireworks Extravaganza, starting at 5 p.m. This event takes place on the rooftop, with family-friendly games, carnival food favorites and tasty samples from their popular restaurants. Those over 21 can liven up their spirits at  the Tiki Bar, which features food and drink specials, a live DJ, and more.  Celebrate as Mohegan welcomes the WNBA All-Star Game weekend featuring the Connecticut Sun, and stay for the highlight of the night– The Fireworks Extravaganza!
