The Easter Bunny is coming and so are bright colored eggs for your children to gather and squeal over. Here is a list of just some of the Easter Egg Hunts happening throughout Connecticut this March and April. See below for special events and breakfast with the Easter Bunny. Don’t be late! Kent Park and Recreation and the Kent Lions Club sponsor the annual hunt on the lawn outside Kent Town Hall, 41 Kent Green Boulevard. The event is open to Kent youngsters, ages 10 and under, and features two separate hunts: ages 5 and under and ages 6 to 10. The 2014 event will be April 12 at 10 a.m. The inclement weather date is April 19.

Two year olds and younger meet with Mr. Bunny in the Gazebo from 12 Noon – 1 p.m. 3-year-olds hunt for eggs at 12:00 sharp in the Apple Orchard, 4-year-olds at 12:15, 5-7 year olds at 12:30, 8-10 year olds at 12:45. Easter Bunny Fun Day is a family fun filled day where each child will get an Easter Egg containing a surprise, and a small craft to create. Around the Museum will be face painting, tattoos, train tables to play at, bubble tables, and of course the Easter Bunny. Join us on April 19th, Saturday for our annual Bunny Breakfast at the Brooklyn Middle School. Brooklyn Recreation and the Danielson Lions Club will present this pancake breakfast. Breakfast will be served from 8am-10:30am. Tickets available in advance at The Brooklyn Parks & Recreation Office, the Brooklyn Recreation After School Program, or as space permits, at the door. Tickets are $5.00 per person, $20.00 for a family of 5. Activities will include face painting, family friendly entertainment, and a visit from the guest of honor, the Bunny!
Egg Hunt: Our annual Egg Hunt will take place outdoors at the middle school, weather permitting at 10:30am, on April 19th. Open to all Brooklyn children age 10 and under. Call the office for more info. Egg hunt is free of charge, bring your basket and plan on joining us on April 19th!

Flashlight Egg Hunt for Older Children

Just for students in grades 3 – 5! The hunt will be held on the grounds of Town Hall at 8:00 p.m. sharp, and will last approximately 20 minutes. All participants must bring their own flashlights. Bags will be provided for collecting. Call the Parks & Recreation Office to pre-register. Cost is $1.00 per student. Pay on the evening of the hunt in front of the Town Hall.
