(Bloomfield, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – Bloomfield police say one person was killed and was another injured in a one-vehicle crash in town this morning.
Just after 8:30, officers were dispatched to Simsbury and Mountain Roads.
When they arrived, police say the vehicle was off to the right side of the road, having hit a utility pole and a “for sale” sign.
Police say the driver, a 49-year-old West Hartford resident, was outside the vehicle.
The driver’s 91-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center.
The driver did not initially show life threatening injuries but police say their condition worsened and the person is in the ICU at St. Francis, according to police.
Witnesses tell police the driver appeared to be having a seizure just prior to the crash.
