In case you missed it, The Score was recently rebranded as Sportsnet 360™, making it the latest addition to the prestigious Sportsnet family, which already includes Sportsnet™ (Ontario, East, West, Pacific), Sportsnet One™ and Sportsnet World™.

Launched on Canada Day with a live broadcast of a Toronto Blue Jays game, Sportsnet 360 delivers fans an impressive roster of live sporting events, including  (Canadian Interuniversity Sports), basketball, soccer, existing coverage of WWE and much more.

Sportsnet 360 is also the new home for UFC in Canada. It will offer just the type of UFC programming UFC Central host “Showdown Joe” Ferraro has been craving for years. “I’ve always wanted to get mixed martial arts on mainstream television and get a primetime spot,” says Ferraro. “It took about 10 years, but now it’s finally happening with Sportsnet 360. It was a lot of work and a lot of sacrifices, but it’s finally getting done. I love it.”

Every Wednesday, Sportsnet 360 will feature four straight hours of UFC programming from 7-11 p.m., including The Ultimate Fighter, UFC Wired, Unleashed and UFC Central. Sportsnet 360 will also surround MMA fans with more than 30 live UFC events on Saturday nights.

Sportsnet 360’s commitment to UFC demonstrates the growing enthusiasm for MMA, says Ferraro. “It’s gone from a fringe sport to everyone and anyone watching it,” he says. “It’s absolutely huge and it’s only going to get bigger.”

Sportsnet 360 also unveiled a new Blue Jays post-game show called Blue Jays Xpress – a 30-minute, interactive show hosted by Sportsnet 590 The FAN’s Eric Smith, with former Blue Jays players Paul Spoljaric and Greg O’Halloran providing analysis, and Sportsnet host Michael Grange contributing to the on-air discussion.

The channel will also continue to present marquee WWE properties, including Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown, while expanded coverage of Canadian university sports will include the Vanier Cup, along with men’s and women’s hockey and basketball championships.

Additional content will include NCAA basketball, FIBA basketball, Toronto FC matches and select international soccer matches, including qualifying matches for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil.
