Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County’s (BBSVC) much-anticipated, sixth-annual Bags, Bling & Bubbly champagne luncheon will take place on Friday, November 7th at the Spanish Hills Country Club in Camarillo. The stylish event, benefiting BBSVC, begins at 11 a.m. with an amazing array of new designer and vintage handbags, jewelry and accessories available for purchase or by auction.

The luncheon will recognize the Wise, Wonderful Woman of 2014, Christine Devine. “Ms. Devine was chosen for this honor for her successful work in helping foster youth find adoptive homes through her Wednesday’s Child news segment,” said Lynne West, ceo of BBSVC. “She is a wise and wonderful role model for our Little Sisters.” Devine is the current weeknight anchor on Fox 11 News and holds many successful film credits. She has 16 Emmys, including the prestigious Governor’s Award. In 2012, she was named by Los Angeles Magazine among the “50 Women Changing LA.”

Officer Byrd of Judge Judy will also return to Bags, Bling & Bubbly this year as a special guest.

“Our Bags, Bling & Bubbly luncheon gets more exciting every year,” said Diane Sabol, event chair. “Guests can expect a spectacular afternoon filled with glitz and glamour plus a few new surprises!” Sponsors of the event include Select Staffing, Wells Fargo Bank, Comerica Bank, Montecito Bank & Trust, CoffeyTalk.com, Healthwise Homecare, Diane and Bill Sabol, and Gerald and Bill Powell.

Early-bird tickets are priced at $80 each ($90 after October 28th) and are advance-purchase only; no tickets will be sold at the door for this exclusive event. There will also be an opportunity drawing for a $5000 cash prize; only 250 of these sought-after tickets will be sold at $100 each (winner need not be present to win).

All proceeds from the Bags, Bling & Bubbly champagne luncheon help provide the financial support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County needs to help change the trajectory of over 1,500 at-risk children and youth served in one-to-one mentoring programs in our schools and community. BBSVC depends on these critical donations to recruit, train, screen, and conduct background checks on volunteers to ensure child safety. Program services also provide ongoing professional support for children, families, and volunteers to build and sustain long-lasting mentoring relationships.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available for Bags, Bling & Bubbly. Anyone interested in sponsoring the event or in purchasing tickets may contact Miriam Zacuto at 805.484.2282 or visit www.bbsvc.org/bubbly.
