Former American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino served as a guest host on ABC’s The View on Monday morning (January 20).
The After Midnight star looked lovely as she talked about her latest broadway musical gig and addressed the rumors of her being suicidal again:
You know, I’m not depressed I’m blessed. And I think that when you carry that, there are people who will try their best to knick and pick and try to find things that used to break Fantasia, but that Fantasia is gone.
Eventually the topic changed to that of infidelity and BET’s new show, Being Mary Jane. The ladies of The View asked Fantasia to share her thoughts on whether a wife should talk to the other woman or if a woman should talk to the ex-wife before starting a relationship with a newly divorced man:
I think that if you’re going to go into a new situation, there’s no need to take the old baggage with you, regardless of what they had going on, what their past was…there’s no need. But if that isn’t the situation, ‘Run, run as fast as you can. Can’t catch me. I’m the gingerbread man.’
