Hi, I have had a repetitively strange problem with the micrphone on my Dell Inspiron 11z.

After a fresh installation, the microphone works perfectly.

But after using it for a while (weeks or months), the microphone is dead. If I go to System Settings -> Sound and then "Input" tab, I see no bar in "Input level". The micrphone is not muted and "Input volume" is between "unamplified" and "100%".

The only solution that works for me is to reinstall Ubuntu (I did this from 12.10 to 13.04).

I am now really tired of this. I followed this page https://help.ubuntu.com/community/So...otingProcedure to generate an output below. Can someone take a look and offer me some help?
