Dear Sir, This letter is to make a complaint against irritating, humiliating and irreresponsible behaviour of Senior Branch Manager(Mr. Rajendra Kumar), Administrator and Head Cashier of the Bank Of India, Branch-sector-8 , Rohini, New Delhi(Branch code-006056). On 01/01/2013, I visited Bank of India, Rohini, Sector- 8 branch ( new Delhi) to deposit cash of Rs. 55,000 in account no-46532010000397. The Head Cashier refused to deposit cash and said, “We do not accept cash deposit for amount more than Rs. 20000 for non-home branch account.” Then I took up the matter with the Administrator of branch. To my surprise, he also repeated the same thing and shouted at me saying “I will not allow any deposit of this amount in my branch. Do whatever you want to do.” He even told me not to disturb him again for the same topic and asked me to get lost from the branch . After bearing all this misbehaviour, when I approached to Senior Branch Manager( Mr. Rajendra Kumar), he did not pay attention towards ill treatment.Instead, he kept me waiting outside his cabin for more than 30 minutes.After that he told me it was not his job to look into the matter of cash deposit. I was taken aback by the callous and careless attitude of branch head. Instead of solving my problem, he was busy making personal calls from bank’s telephone for his private matters while making me wait outside his office. Again, I requested the Administrator to accept cash. In turn, he started shouting at me the same overridden norms saying “it is for the convinience of their customers only and not theirs”. Well it was not at all convinient for me to run from one counter to another for nothing. When I said to Administrator that “Sir, there on the notice board it is wriitten that customer can deposit cash in excess of Rs. 49999 if the PAN number of the account holder is provided in the form”. To this he started shouting again saying “Don’t tell me the rules, i am the authority here, i make the rules.You don’t understand what i am saying????Get out of the bank “. He even ordered the guard to pull me out of the bank. 90 minutes of my collegue and mine were wasted waiting for such irresponsible act of the bank staff The attitude of the S.B.M and Bank adminisrator in particular was very irritating and humiliating for the customer. They are not playing the role they should be playing in the bank and making banking simple and transparent to the customer. In contrast, they are making their own rules in bank, hiding the real rules, replying to the customer’s query once very impolitely. I am really surprised and frustrated how a bank can behave so irresponsibly and harass its customer. I am deeply hurt. I seek your kind intervention to punish the staffs concerned for their harassing me unnecessarily.
