Today Gust released a new batch of screenshots and info on the upcoming JRPG Blue Reflection: Maboroshi Ni Mau Shojo no Ken. On top of the assets, we also get the announcement of the Japanese release, coming on March 30th, 2017, for PS4 and PS Vita.

First of all, we learn about the enemies our heroines will have to fight, in the form of huge biological creatures named “Species.” They appeared suddenly, and started attacking humans, included the protagonist Hinako.

The progenitors among the species are named Yesod, and they have giant, scaled bodies. They can easily withstand even the attack of a Reflector. They have overwhelming power even among the Species.

Reflectors can become stronger by equipping crystal “fragments of thought.” They can raise attack power, defense and more.

The gameplay is marked by the daily flow of Hinako’s life. In the mornings she goes to school and meets other students. At times special events can occur in class or during lunch break. At times other students will ask questions, and Hinako’s answer will influence the “exchange value,” which determines how good or bad her relationship is with that particular girl.

After school, Hinako is free to do what she wants. She can go out with friends, create items, or go to the “different world” to solve the problems there.

After that, she returns home and she can end her day by going to bed.

On Hinako’s smartphone there is an app named “Frispe.” It helps her deepen her relationship with friends and see their profile. There also are minigames. It’s possible to use it to chat, to change its theme and BGM.

We also get to meet two more among Hinako’s classmates, the innocent troublemaker Chihiro Inoue and the smart by unemotional Yuki Saiki.

Last, but not least, pre-orders open today in Japan, with a download content for an original theme and minigame for Frispe as an early purchase bonus.

There are also two separate special editions. The Premium Box includes a special costume for Hinako, an official soundtrack with a whopping three disks, a booklet, a fabric poster, a bromide set and a school calendar.

The Special Collection Box includes all of the above plus a life-size reversible fabric poster and fifteen oversized character posters.
