Is there no way to record from a Youview Essentials box? I have just upgraded to the Essentials TV from Essentials broadband. However I already have a Freeview digital recorder and can't see the point of the Youview box especially as most people have TVs with Freeview recievers already installed. As I see it the box only provides Freeview channels and TV over internet for Sky and Netflix (providing your TV and router are close enough to connect by ethernet as it dosen't have WiFi). I can get any of a number of devices to connet to my TV for internt TV (ie Cromecast, FireTV etc) for a one off fee. £20 a month for Essentials TV plus seems absurd just so you can record being you can buy internet capable Freeview HD PVRs for less than £150. I don't know what TalkTalk TV is for?
