Black Keys drummer was out

QUOTE

Watch A Good Day To Die Hard Online. Whether or not you plan to play Elder Scrolls Online, you probably enjoyed the hell out of the trailer. The sleek CGI trailer for the MMORPG depicted three armies clashing in a spectacular battle. Gaming Blend had a chance to speak with advertising agency AKQA and production company Blur Studio, the two companies responsible for translating the MMO into a cinematic that would grab gamers' attention. For the Elder Scrolls Online trailer, what was Bethesda/ZeniMax's contribution to the project? How much direction do they give you? Ed Davis, Account Supervisor at AKQA: The teams at Bethesda Softworks and ZeniMax Online Studios play an important role in the development of a cinematic like this.

Watch Die Hard 5 Online. In the early stages we work closely with them to make sure the cinematic story is in sync with both the marketing messages and the game themes, and the developers provide a lot of material as inspiration. As we get into production, the development team provides references and ensures accuracy for things like weapons, armor, and environments. And of course they review passes of the trailer as it moves through each step of the process to provide feedback. What did you use for inspiration when you were creating this trailer? Did you watch gameplay footage of Elders Scrolls Online?

Watch Die Hard 5 Online. Davis: When we first started working with Bethesda Softworks on the brand and marketing for The Elder Scrolls Online, the leads from the development team at ZeniMax Online Studios spent a lot of time walking us through the game in great detail. We latched onto the idea of these three alliances locked in a massive war to control Tamriel, and it quickly became the center of our efforts. From there, we knew it was important to tell that story and introduce the alliances in a cinematic manner and get fans excited about the upcoming closed beta. How long did the trailer take to create? How many people did it require?

Watch A Good Day To Die Hard Online. Dave Wilson, Director, Blur Studio: From conceptualization to delivery, our timeline was roughly 6 months, but the heavy lifting occurred in the just 90 days. The pace was impressively fast. With teams of 10-12 artists in each department, the animation was produced in 3-4 weeks, and all the lighting and compositing in four. The total crew, if you include everyone from motion capture to IT was probably 120 people. In the trailer, we see three factions battling for control of a citadel. Did you envision this as being a specific location in the game world?

Watch Warm Bodies Online. Along those same lines: are the three lead characters in the trailer supposed to be specific personalities from the game? Davis: We can't go into specifics about the citadel, but the setting was definitely a topic of much discussion. As far as the three lead characters in the trailer, they were designed for us throughout the marketing campaign as examples of potential player characters rather than specific personalities from inside the game. You'll be seeing a lot of them across The Elder Scrolls Online advertising.

Watch Identity Thief Online. If I remember correctly, Blur made three separate trailers for Star Wars: The Old Republic. Will we see another ESO trailer from you? Are you making any cut scenes for the game itself? Wilson: We'll see. Blur would jump at the opportunity to collaborate with AKQA again. And besides, the vast world of The Elder Scrolls is just too epic to be contained... so we're hoping. Beyond ESO, what else are you folks working on this year? Should we expect trailers for other games from you in 2013? Wilson: Unfortunately Blur is not at liberty to discuss other titles, however, we do have a number of exciting projects in production that will be revealed later this year.

Watch Breaking Dawn Part 2 Online. Davis: From the AKQA side, we can't talk about specifics, but with The Elder Scrolls Online launching this year, there will be lots more from the campaign in the coming months. A big thank you to AKQA and Blur for speaking with us. Elder Scrolls Online, an MMORPG set in the same world as Skyrim and Morrowind, began accepting beta applications last month. Look for the game to hit PC and Mac in 2013. Lady Gaga has changed her mind about some big touring dates. The pop singer has spent a considerable amount of time on the road for her Born This Way Ball Tour, but the 26–year-old singer recently did not dance around cancelling a few dates.

Watch Hansel and Gretel Online. In a series of six posts on Twitter, Gaga announced that she has been injured and that she will not be able to keep up with the demands of her stage show for a short time. Apparently, she’s been suffering from synovitis, which the singer describes as “severe inflammation of the joints, and the singer has had to postpone shows in the great city of Chicago, Illinois, as well as Detroit, Michigan and Hamilton, Ontario. I never thought of the woman as a particularly agile dancer, but in this case, her dance moves seem to have been severely hindered. The pop singer also notes that she hid the injury until she couldn’t handle it any longer and quite frankly, she seems pretty bent out of shape about it. Here is the sum of two of her tweets: Poor grammar or no, that’s a seemingly sincere message, which means that Gaga will likely make good on the postponement rather than eventually cancelling those tour dates. However, for fans who bought tickets for this week’s shows, I’m sure the announcement is still a disappointment. The tour dates that have officially been postponed thus far are both dates in Chicago on February 13 and 14, a date in Detroit on the 16 and a tour date in Hamilton on the 17. There are some feuds that make logical sense, and there are others so out of left field they surprise even the participants. Let the record show the tension between Justin Bieber and Patrick Carney definitely falls in that latter group.

The Black Keys drummer was out and about in Los Angeles celebrating his Grammy win following the event when TMZ’s camera crew asked him if the Biebs got screwed by the committee which didn’t nominate his latest album for anything. Carney was less than sympathetic and said the Grammys are about music, not what artist is making the most money. Not surprisingly, Bieber wasn’t exactly appreciate of Carney’s comments, and he fired back on Twitter earlier today… Given the people involved, this obviously isn’t going to come to blows, but the mini-feud does set up a pretty interesting argument. Clearly, Carney doesn’t see very much artistic merit in popularity, but Adele has sold more records than anyone else the past few years. She’s been showered with Grammys, and there are more than a few people who think Bieber is actually really good at being a pop star. Just because he makes a ton of money doesn’t inherently mean his music is shit. What do you think? Are you on team Bieber or team Black Keys? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below… More than seventeen years after Alec Baldwin’s first wife, Kim Basinger, gave birth to the actor’s only child, his new wife, Hilaria, has announced she’s pregnant.

The twenty-eight-year-old yoga instructor is due sometime this summer, but as far as further specifics like sex or possible names, she’s staying completely mum. We do know they’re both very excited, however. At one point in time, Baldwin seemed to have the ideal family, but sadly, his marriage was rocked by one of the messiest divorces and custody battles of all-time. Fortunately, that experience didn’t sour the fifty-four-year-old to having more kids. He’s reportedly so excited about the impending bundle of joy that he gets close to crying whenever he speaks about his feelings. Fifty-four might be older than most fathers would like to be, but considering how young his wife is and how well he’ll be able to provide for the child, the future Baldwin should have a wonderful experience growing up, filled with a whole lot of famous uncles. Pop Blend’s sincerest congratulations go out to Alec and Hilaria on their happy news. With patience, optimism and plenty of love, they should both be wonderful parents to the little guy or girl.
