Scene 2 - After weeks of echoing Trumps skepticism about Russia Hacking the US Election to help Trump win - Mitch McConnell has a meeting with Donald Trump and the day afterwards comes out and condemns Russia's breach of US political organizations and says - he supports Senate Committees that he controls - conducting hearings into alleged breaches
Wait Wait - the Hook is coming.............................
Senate Majority Leader McConnell after meeting with Trump - rejects the idea for the need of a Special Prosecutor or a Special Independent Bipartisan Committee that would be able to elevate the investigation to a higher priority and significance
What about the House of Representatives you ask?...........................
Well the House does have a Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence - but it's Chairman Republican Devin Nunes - indicated that he has no plans to open a specific investigation on Russian breaches.
"At this time I do not see any benefit in opening further investigations, which would duplicate current committee oversight efforts and Intelligence Community inquiries," Nunes wrote in a statement.
