I am in need of a new computer and I guess a printer too since mine is messing up my prints.
As my next computer, I wanted to get a new workstation but I was afraid that it might be loud. I have extra extra good hearing and noise really bothers me. I have a HP Pavilion right now that is about 6 years old, and after all it has been thorugh, it works like a top, but it has no HDMI card and I was told I could not add one. It is really quiet though.
Anyway, I just ordered a desktop for home because I was afraid a workstation would not be quiet enough. When you can hear at zero dicibels, it is hard to find something quiet. I work in graphics, 3-d rendering, and I also work in animation, so I assumed a workstation would ahve been the best choice.
Can anyone tell me anything about the a Z620. Is it as quiet as an HP Pavilion desktop? I went in and configued one but then I had several people tell me it would be loud becasue of the extra fast processor and graphics card with the 850W power supply. Is that true. I have 21 days to return the desktop I ordered. I just ordered it today. It is only $4000 compared to the workstation which was about $6,000, but the difference in cost is not my issue, the noise level is what made me drop down to just a home computer.
Here is what I ordered today. Any suggestions? Should I maybe cancel it and order the workstation? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
