Problem description: When hibernating, the PC blanks the screen but is still on (the fan is turning, LEDs are on). The screen remains dark whatever I try to do, and the only way to get out of this state is pressing the power switch until the PC totally turns off.
This is a Probook 6450b with Windows 7 64 bit. It used to run Windows 7 32 bit without any hibernation problems; the problem started when I reinstalled 64bit in order to benefit from more memory. Since I don't have the original DVD for this PC, I also needed to reinstall all the drivers.
I must be missing a driver, but there are so many to choose from that I don't know which it would be. I don't think I want to go through the trouble of installing everything.
My question: Which would be the driver(s) most likely to solve this problem?
The driver list from the HP support web site is below and also attached as an Excel file.
Side note: It's very hard to determine which of the drivers are actually installed. The executable files I download from the HP site don't have names that indicate what they are for. Is there a way to check what I have installed so far?
