Responsibilities
The Canadian Territory Manager will be responsible for implementing the clients marketing plan to targeted audiences by using their professional expertise, clinical training and judgment. They deliver proficient and clinically-supported sales presentations to a defined list of current and prospective customers. In the assigned territory, and using their discretion as to the best strategy for doing so, the representative will utilize all marketing and selling materials designed for a respective audience. Customers include prescribing healthcare providers and their office staff working within a group practice with a focus on Dermatologists and Pediatricians by the reps in the Specialty Division. The Territory Manager will independently plan and organize activities to ensure regular and consistent coverage of the territory according to a plan of action and dependent on each customer's clinical needs. Administration of territory information and compliance to reporting and regulatory requirements is imperative. Participation in training and development programs is essential.
The Territory Manager must demonstrate a strong knowledge of clinical data and pharmacology. The representative will deliver the clients product presentations to healthcare audiences. The representative will provide clinical and scientific support for clinical decisions to physicians, mid-level practitioners, and the nursing staff, along with the hospital staff. They will also provide branded and non-branded disease state education to patients, practitioners and their staff. They will provide education and lead discussions with office staff around managing side effects, treating conditions, and patient materials. They will develop thought leaders (KOLs) in their local market and schedule educational programs like speaker programs. This position reports directly to the District Sales Manager.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required with a concentration in Business or Science (preferred)
1-3 years sales experience preferably within professional sales, calling on healthcare professionals; sales experience calling on dermatologist is a strong preference for the Specialty sales positions
Basic CCPE Accreditation, along with 3 Advanced courses
Understanding of the Canadian Healthcare system is a requirement
Thrives in travel intensive role with regular meeting commitments away from home
Key Accountabilities:
Results and Performance Driven; Customer Oriented
Build and foster professional working relationships with key customers across Pediatric and Dermatology specialties
Identify Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) amongst different customer groups that can be used to positively influence other specialists and GPs through educational events and referrals
Develop, exhibit and maintain a high degree of knowledge regarding the products, company, industry and competitive products
Effectively manages sample and literature inventories to minimize waste/expiration
Achieve territory recommendation and/or share objectives through effective implementation of the sales and marketing of strategic plans including cycle specific POA's, Lunch and Learn/CHE events, trade show participation
Develop trial and support for detailed products by the consistent and effective use of Dimensional Selling Techniques Optimize ROI through the use and distribution of all promotional materials and samples in the approved and targeted medical offices
Effectively manage the territory via maintenance of key customer lists using available resources and the automated information system Create and maintain an annual Territory Coverage and Development Plan that meets call frequency and recon level objectives
Complete administrative responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner
Technical Competencies:
Excellent written/spoken knowledge of the English and French language

Strong knowledge of Continuing Medical Education process
