Responsibilities
The RegionalSales Manager's responsibility will be l eading, directing and managing all activities of the sales teams within a specific geographical assignment. The RegionalSales Manager is responsible for leading his/her teams to the achievement of established revenue and profit goals by ensuring specific individual and team goals are met and expenses are managed in a fiscally responsible manner. The RegionalSales Manager will participate in national, regional, and local strategic meetings, as well as lead meetings with their respective teams.

Responsible for meeting or exceeding assigned sales targets.
Leads a team of highly motivated specialty sales professionals by creating and articulating a vision for the region (first line manager role) that builds off of the objectives and vision for the organization as a whole.
Effectively analyzes performance data, market trends, market access dynamics, and builds strategic business plans to address challenges and capitalize on business opportunities.
Understands and applies knowledge of health care industry, trends, applicable laws and regulations, market conditions, and the market access environment (including but not limited to pharmacy-economics, payer/ reimbursement landscape and patient flow/influence between institutions and community practices) and analyze these factors in the development of business plans within compliance guidelines.
Ability to discuss complex scientific information fluently to health care practitioners and business leaders in key institutions, large academic centers and hospitals, IDNs (integrated delivery networks), large group practices, and local/regional payers in a professional, compliant, ethical and effective manner.
Demonstrates strong understanding of current or pending clinical pathways within an institution, and how they influence patient treatment.
Experience with and understanding of account management at the physician and payer level.
Demonstrates clear and thorough understanding of company Oncology products, Oncology marketplace, relevant competitive products and the disease area (metastatic breast cancer). Leverages this knowledge to model and coach team to exemplary selling skills and product and disease state knowledge.
Providing coaching, motivation, and performance management to the specialty account managers (sales representatives).
Ability to utilize knowledge (product/disease, consultative selling skills, account management, marketplace) to conduct training workshops with specialty account managers.
Actively facilitates the growth and development of team members based on their needs, motivation, and business requirements.
Creates an environment of continuous learning where team members feel challenged and engaged.
Monitors operating costs and compliance with region budget.
Demonstrates core values of ethical promotion, transparent communication, collaboration, and accountability. Self-driven to deliver results.
Complies with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of the company.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
1 - 5 years maximum of Specialty District Management experience required.
Community and Hospital/Institution experience required.
Proven track record of inspiring and leading high performing teams to meet or exceed expectations and goals.
Understanding of payer access/reimbursement and distribution channels.
Experience in the buy/bill marketplace and a strong understanding of reimbursement for pharmaceutical products required.
Demonstrated track record of success developing and executing strong business plans to deliver sales results.
Proven successful track record of selecting, developing and retaining talented individuals.
Current experience that has required use of analytical skills, selling skills, and development of strong business acumen, and working knowledge of the market access environment.
Ability to travel extensively and possess a valid driver's license.
