Responsibilities
inVentiv Health has partnered with organizations like Eli Lilly and Company to fill direct-hire (non-contract) sales positions across the country!We are seeking a highly motivated, results oriented professional for the role of aPharmaceutical Sales Representative to manage a designated territory.

The sales representative for the Integrated Health Partner division is responsible for representing Lilly as an industry leading therapeutic disease state, market, and product specialist with key office and institution based physicians within a defined healthcare market. This individual will be responsible for partnering with a diverse range of primary care and specialty healthcare professionals, who may practice in a broad spectrum of healthcare settings within a defined market.They will need to understand and communicate with key customers/staff, manage programming, facilitate collaboration and communication with other Integrated Health Partners and Specialty Representatives across their market to improve patient care by delivering value to the healthcare professionals and systems they support. Key Objectives/Deliverables: Critical Knowledge: Customer, Disease, Market

Demonstrate industry leading deep therapeutic knowledge of multiple disease states, products (both Lilly and relevant competitor's), market dynamics and practice settings. Use a scientific selling approach that is persuasive and tailored to healthcare professionals across multiple therapeutic areas.

Effectively utilize training, resources and medical/marketplace knowledge to address different customer needs and support sales/marketing strategy. Ability to learn, understand and leverage healthcare professional's beliefs and needs to appropriately engage as a valuable resource.

Demonstrate a keen understanding of different medical environments, including protocols, local guidelines, and formulary status for hospital, ER, office settings, etc. Responsible for staying informed and knowledgeable on all current medical topics related to assigned products and disease states.

Be able to support formulary and protocol access initiatives with the medication management departments within multiple setting.

Builds relationships / Provides value to customers and patient outcomes

Build and maintain strong relationships with key across multiple settings of care.

Integrate local business planning and implementation plans across partners. Be able to work across territory boundaries to sustain consistent Lilly service and maximize the full continuum of care.

Business Ownership

Achieve sales growth in territory by professionally promoting multiple Lilly products to healthcare professionals.

Understands the relationship between physician, patient, product, reimbursement and continuum of care within healthcare systems, and individual healthcare professional practices.

Create and execute integrated territory business plan that incorporates analysis of the product and market trends in the territory (e.g. patient flow, product reimbursement, healthcare system makeup of territory, etc.) to maximize patient access to and experience with Lilly therapies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree

Professional Certification or License if required by a specific state

Additional Skills/Preferences

Live in territory or within 50 miles of workload center.

Previous pharmaceutical sales experience and/or hospital selling experience

Demonstrated success in persuasion, influence, and negotiation skills

Excellent communication/coordination/interpersonal skills

Demonstrated relationship building teamwork skills

Documented leadership ability

Demonstrated business acumen

Consideration for this position requires a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record**
