Responsibilities
The PES will play a key role in the education of HCPs, conduct peer to peer educational programs, and provide patient follow up pre and post infusion within their assigned territory. The PES will utilize using their professional expertise, relationships and clinical training in the implementation of the client's education plan.
(Duties may include, but are not limited to the following)Accelerate disease state awareness

Educate staff on both clinical and operational aspects of appropriate patient identification

Educate nurse staff on the clinical profile of products including but not limited to clinical benefits and administration requirements

Provide education programs for professional staff, i.e. nurses, other key healthcare staff through 1:1 presentation, round table discussions, formal presentations

Integrate as needed with sales professionals, reimbursement specialists to identify and work within targeted practices

Master all aspects of the clinical and administrative profile of a new cancer medication.

Teaching key external stakeholders (infusion nurses, other medical staff) on the infusion process associated with a new cancer medication.

Partnering with sales and sales management to profile customer accounts, resolve customer issues, and identify new business opportunities

Communicate as required with managers, peers, customer counterparts

Educate practices through presentations and workshops

Initiate clinical discussions with key personnel in each account (MD (as needed), nurse practitioner, infusion nurse, physician's assistant, clinic nurses).

May provide pre and post infusion follow up via telephone support to patients undergoing treatment for multiple myeloma.

Attend and provide clinical information and/or presentations at national, regional and local meetings

Provides staff support, as appropriate at exhibit booths and displays as required

May be asked to attend clinically relevant meetings for personal/professional development

Attends Plan of Action meetings with the customer as requested

Professional Responsibilities

Provides relevant information to the customer and field manager/Project Leader in the form of business plan

Stays current in clinical developments related to specific disease state

Develops and maintains advanced presentation skills to facilitate dissemination of clinical information

Checks voice mail and email daily as directed

Documents all interactions, customer profile information daily as directed

Additional Responsibilities

Provides educational support as identified to reinforce the project's strategic goals

Promptly respond to internal/external communications.

Completes all reports and written assignments in a timely, accurate and thorough manner

Maintains the highest level of professional standards in all interactions with customers and other business contacts.

Demonstrates sound judgment with regard to utilization of time and financial resources, such a travel and entertainment.

Reads, understands, and adheres to important documents such as fraud and abuse guidelines, FDA guidelines, PhaRMA code, SOPs, and HIPPA guidelines and memos regarding policy and procedures.

Requirements

Active RN license required. BSN degree required. Advanced Practice degree and/or MSN/MBA preferred.

Strong consideration given to candidates who are OCN and/or Infusion certified. Oncology experience required.

Minimum of three years industry experience preferred

Prior relationships within targeted institutions/infusion centers preferred

Experience with specialty products (preferably Oncology and/or infusion)

Knowledge and/or experience with direct to patient education initiatives preferred

Previous experience in introducing new specialty pharmaceutical/biologics products or indications a plus

Ability to travel locally and overnight 75%

Excellent presentation skills

Strong teamwork abilities

Ability to schedule individual work related travel(air, hotel, rental car as needed) Above average computer skills: PowerPoint, Excel, Word

Ability to travel and possess a valid driver's license to drive toassigned healthcare accounts, unless otherwise specified.
