The Major Arena Soccer League, North America’s top arena soccer league, is proud to announce that Puma will be the league’s official supplier of soccer balls for the 2014-15 season.
As part of the deal, Puma will beginning to sell the ball as part of their regular soccer line in June 2015, with a limited amount available at MASL games during the 2014-15 season.
“The MASL is excited to be partnering with a globally recognized brand like Puma,” said Kevin Milliken, commissioner of the MASL. “Puma was the perfect fit for our domestic and global expansion plans.”
The new ball was developed and tested in cooperation with arena soccer players, who were looking for a ball that would keep its shape and integrity after numerous bounces off the boards over the course of the 60-minute game. As such, Puma will promote and sell the ball as the only professional arena soccer ball.
“We are excited to be manufacturing and selling a ball specifically designed for the sport of arena soccer, and the MASL is the best branding partner for this product,” said Jeff Hughes of Puma Wheat Accessories.
The official MASL game ball is bright yellow, with black markings around the outside, and should be spotted easily by spectators in arenas and during broadcasts. Each ball also features the Puma logo, as well as the MASL’s logo.
The Major Arena Soccer League season will kickoff Saturday with a matchup featuring the Missouri Comets visiting the Dallas Sidekicks at the Allen Event Center.
