Here's my current four Colt AR also my son's M4 carbine, also my four Colt 1911 .45 pistols in the attachments.

My son's LE6920 M4 Carbine which I gave him on his 18th birthday Feb. 2014, I bought it new in early 2012 when they first started to use the markings "M4 Carbine".

My son joined the US Navy in mid 2014 and is now an IT computer tech on his ship as part of the Pacific 7th fleet and is now a Petty Officer 3rd class.

I also gave him his B5 BRAVO SOPMOD buttstock and a Magpul basic MS1 two point sling, he's just currently borrowing one of my Troy folding rear sight and my EOTech red dot optic.

Originally his carbine came with a detachable carry handle, Colt-Rogers SuperStock, two Colt 20rd mags, cleaning kit with cleaning rods, basic black silent sling, one heavy duty push button sling swivel, and owner's manual (2012 models configuration).

Model SP6920 marked "SPORTER M4 CARBINE" it have no caliber markings, bought it new in early 2011 when this model was first released to the market.

Factory original configuration it had a detachable carry handle, M4 large oval with double heat shield handguards, A2 grip, M4 type 2 waffle type buttstock, and the same accessories as my son's 2012 M4 carbine.

Most components are USGI well proven for a long period of time, except the buttstock and grip but that company is one of the suppliers of the Enhanced SOPMOD buttstocks for the US military.

Another model AR6721 A3 Tactical carbine made in 2002 which I bought new old stock in early 2005 without handguards, lower receiver extension (buffer tube) and no buttstock.

Mostly I'm using my Nikon hunting 3-9X40 scope mounted on LaRue Tactical model LT104 SPR 1.5 quick detachable 30mm mount on my same 2002 AR6721.

I removed the factory HBAR heavy profile barrel and sold it to fund my upgrade barrel which is a semi custom made Rock Creek Barrels (same as LMT MRP barrels), mil-spec steel alloy chromoly Vanadium, medium contour under the handguard, midlength gas system (between carbine and rifle gas system), 1/7 twist, chrome lined same as Colt supplier US Chrome, 5.56 Nato chamber, M4 feedramps, proof tested HPT and magnetic particle inspected MPI, contoured, chambered, and assembled by Compass Lake Engineering at Alford, FL, late 2005.

Components list:

Free floating handguard rail system: LaRue Tactical 9.0 9 inch

Vertical forward grip: TangoDown (now with LaRue FUG quick detachable)

Sling 2 point: Blue Force Gear model Vickers VCAS padded coyote tan

This is my most accurate 16" carbine, I could usually group more or less 1 inch ten shots at 100 yd with good ammo with heavy bullets like Hornady TAP 75, and other owners of the same barrel could group with precision hand loads from half inch to under one inch at the same distance.

The accuracy of this barrel are due to better manufacturing process, it starts with a certified mil-spec steel alloy, cryogenic heat treated during manufacture, over bored to compensate chrome lining thickness, button broached rifled, high precision chambered and assembly.

This was my first AR build way back in 2005, after the assault weapon ban I was looking for an A2 Colt rifle but all they had was HBAR heavy profile barrels, no standard A2 government profile barrels at all.

So early in '05 I bought a new never issued USGI M16A2 Colt complete upper without any bolt and charging handle, it was heavily coated in thick grease and I had to clean it 3 times before it was clean.

A few months later I found a stripped Colt Match Target HBAR model MT6601 lower receiver, it only had the small size .250 pivot pin screw type, bolt catch, and trigger guard.

I bought a Colt lower parts kit, Colt M16 bolt carrier group, Colt charging handle, and a new take off USGI M16A2 buttstock group, this buttstock group I bought from a machine gun dealer.

Installing the lower parts kit in the lower receiver was very easy, I lightly polished the trigger and hammer engagement surfaces to make the pull just a little smoother, buttstock installation I had very good experience with my previous Colt AR before so no problems.

It took me only less than two hours and it was completed, I have a USGI field headspace gauge but I took it to my local gunsmith for him to headspace check it which he only charged a low fee.

I used my red laser bore sighting and setup a target 20 yd at my backyard during dusk, then later at the gun range at 25 yards it was only off by less than 2 inches, got it zeroed at 25 yd and 300 yd.

I also have two non Colt AR:

LMT (Lewis Machine & Tool) Defender 2000 M4 carbine 16" barrel with Magpul MOE black furniture.

RRA (Rock River Arms) A4 flattop 9mm carbine with Daniel Defense drop-in EZ CAR 7.0 carbine rails, TangoDown grip, and LMT M4 buttstock.
