India’s premier management institute,Xavier School of Management-Jamshedpur (XLRI- Jamshedpur), has bagged the prestigious All India Council for Technical Education-Confederation of Indian Industry (AICTE-CII) national award titled “Best Industry Linked Institute in Management in the country”. The awards function in Delhi was attended by institute officials and other eminent personalities.
XLRI-Jamshedpur was established in 1949. It offers various programs in business, human resources and industrial relations, advanced management, etc. It is also well-known for its fellowship as well as research related programs, virtual interactive programs and executive programs.
The award was made on the basis of a survey conducted on 1,050 technical institutes which are approved by AICTE. These institutes are of different streams, namely, leading management, engineering, architecture, pharmacy institutes as well as few upcoming management and engineering institutes. The survey highlighted the best industry-related practices adopted by the institutes.
As per officials of XLRI, the institute aims to continuously update its curriculum to make its programs world-class and effective by taking into account the latest developments in the business world. XLRI’s objective is not only to meet the current industry needs, but also to focus on the future industry relevant requirements. The students of the institute are offered immense opportunities of direct industry interaction. The faculty is focused on quality consultancy and research, the officials added.
The deadline for registrations for the Xavier Aptitude Test 2014 (XAT 2014)has been extended from Friday, November 22 to Monday, December 2, 2013, as per officials of XLRI-Jamshedpur. The examination is expected to be held on Sunday, January 5, 2014, in 44 cities throughout India. The XAT examinations are conducted annually by XLRI-Jamshedpur to grant admission into different management programs offered by the institute as well as for admission to other premier business schools (B-schools) throughout India.
