As I write this, I am sitting outside in too-good-to-be-true weather compared to the perpetual winter we’ve experienced in the northeast. And while I hope not to jinx myself, I have to believe that spring is just around the corner. With warmer weather come two of my favorite springtime activities: 1) outdoor concerts and 2) dressing for them.
I spotted this Fashionista rocking the perfect outfit to enjoy Philly’s vibrant music scene. She boldly wears a black crop top with zipper detail. She pairs this edgy top with a pair of high-waist denim shorts and a classic black belt. I love this wardrobe combination for creating a super trendy and slightly punk-inspired look. To keep her look subtle (and add a little warmth), she layers a pair of black tights underneath her light wash shorts. This Fashionista pairs Dr. Martens boots are a go-to for concert fashion, especially if you’re into the indie and punk scene. Not only do they tie an entire look together, but they’re durable and comfortable enough to keep you dancing all night long. She tops off her look with a structured pea coat, a classic option for staying warm if spring hasn’t hit your neck of the woods yet.
To pull together your next concert look, take a few hints from this Fashionista. Go bold by mixing up proportions like a crop top with high-waist denim. If you’re style is a little more feminine, reach for your favorite sundress and ankle booties. Always stay true to your style and have fun with your concert digs. Of course, your style gets double the points for this look if you can pull off bright red locks as fabulously as this Fashionista.
One Simple Change: Transition this look for brunch by adding a little femininity. Swap out the shorts for a high waisted A-line skirt and add on a cardigan. Voila!
