I'm very pleased to give you a first look at the Coco's Tea Party for River Island collection, which hits stores tomorrow morning. The capsule accessories collection is part of River Island's fashion blogger project, and has been in the pipeline for months (it's been so hard not to share every detail with you as the collection has developed). There's a canvas tote bag with faux-leather handles, an iPad case which also doubles as a clutch bag, a set of greetings cards and a hard-shell iPhone case.
Inspiration came from a massive stack of my favourite magazine tear sheets, which I'd been filing away for years. Sequins, animal print, feathers, lace and the two Kates (Hudson and Moss) all featured heavily in the images, so we decided to create a digital print which combined two of the key themes: leopard and lace. Initially I wanted to use a hot pink lace, but it didn't pop against the animal print like the vibrant blue does. We also then added green sequins (I'm unofficially naming this shade "Shrek green") into the mix.

It's been so much fun to work on this project with the lovely and super talented River Island team. Now I can't wait to see the products in stores - it's going to be pretty surreal! I hope you like the collection, as it wouldn't have been possible without your loyal support over CTP's seven (yes, seven!) years.
