Yo La Tengo have released a video for their track Is That Enough, off this year’s Fade. Things gets existential quickly—we’re sure Kierkegaard would be impressed.
Directed by Donik Cary, the clip begins by asking the question, “What is Yo La Tengo?” Then—a math problem. A teacher, who we later find out is actor Fred Willard, attempts to break down the band’s existence via a series of multiple equations on a white board. Marcy Playground divided by Macy Gray, The Purple One multiplied by pi, somehow the end result is YLT, soundtracked by the meandering, sashaying pop song.
